My first thought this morning over the whole todo was St.Stephen would like a word and so would the Apostles.
We are told to go out and share the good news and not keep it to ourselves.
Why would we even need ‘the full armor of God’ if we weren’t expected to fight for and share the good news?
(That’s one of the readings from today’s mass, btw).
I understand the point of the hierarchy, but it makes me sad that many in it don’t buy into the church’s mission of saving souls from Hell.
Looks like I’ll be sending up a few more prayers today for our priests, especially our local ones. 🙏🏻

Chris Cuomo gets a stunning reality check after asking a Black voter in Detroit who he’s voting for in the Senate race.
The expression on Cuomo’s face was PRICELESS as Anton Daniels revealed he was voting for Republican Mike Rogers.
To add insult to injury, Daniels then dropped a brutal truth bomb about the Democrat Party and the Black voters running away from it.
CUOMO: “Do you believe people may be wrong if they assume that all Black voters will vote for El-Sayed because he’s considered another brown guy?”
DANIELS: “I think that they are. And the reason that I think that it is because it’s a lot of Black people that are waking up and realizing that voting Democrat does not necessarily mean that it aligns with your values.”
Nobody is working in that hotel for free.
Yours is the dumbest argument I’ve heard yet on the whole Airbnb situation.
We understand that the cleaning cost is baked into the price of the room -
- and we choose the hotel anyway.
If mom and pop can’t handle the work, then maybe they shouldn’t be running an Airbnb.
I don’t mind paying a cleaning fee, but what I do mind is seeing one price on the main page and then it inflates significantly because of taxes and fees.
Don’t claim it’s $200 a night when it’s really gonna be closer to $350-450.
Even with tax and fees, hotels don’t jack up the final price that much at checkout/booking.
Airbnb has started feeling like scam.
Budget conscious people don’t like feeling like they are getting scammed.
Hear the feedback, adapt the model and change, win back former customers. Basic customer service.
The cleaning fee is a symptom of the problem.
It’s the feeling people get from using the service that’s ultimately the problem.
Many don’t feel like they are getting value from the service provided.
It’s not our problem to fix.
I don’t‘hate’ Airbnb, but I do think it’s gotten really scammy.
So, I don’t use it anymore.
@Hilton or @Marriott get our money instead and don’t tack on a $250 cleaning fee at check in.
Valet and other service fees never add up to an additional $250.
That matters to a lot of people. 🤷🏻♀️
But sure, let’s pretend that nobody understands (checking notes) that hotels pay their cleaning staff for cleaning rooms. 🤦🏻♀️

I need it to be 11/5 so bad. I’m so sick of Abdul and the twat running for Congress in my district. (He’s another DSA twat.)
And the mail - so sick of all the propaganda. Some of it is pretty good/clever, but geez - I just can’t get mad at Mike Rogers for having a house in Florida when I want a house in Florida every winter too. So many normal people are, and always have been, snowbirds. It’s a huge part of the culture - cottages up north for the summer and condos in the south for winter. We love being by the water/outdoors.
Florida is right down I-75. 😂

If they don’t, then they dream about being able to do that.
