“There are 2 types of people in the world…. The type of people who measure grip strength and the type of people who should measure grip strength.” Dr. Tyler Standifird with this nugget from the 2024 TPI Summit. Grip strength is one of the most overlooked metrics for golfers and coaches. Everyone should be measuring and tracking their grip strength over time. 🚨 What if the biggest thing holding back your swing speed isn’t physical? 3-time Major Champion @padraig_h explains why most golfers are capable of swinging faster than they think. The problem? We’re afraid of where the ball is going to go. That fear of missing the fairway causes us to subconsciously slow down, even when we’re trying to swing faster. On of the biggest benefits of overspeed training with SuperSpeed is we remove the golf ball from the equation so you can: ✅ Train your body to move faster without worrying about accuracy ✅ Push beyond the speed limits you’ve unconsciously created ✅ Learn what a truly maximal-effort swing feels like ✅ Build a higher speed ceiling so your normal on-course swing can be faster without swinging out of control Padraig also recommends taking that mentality to the driving range. Set aside 20–40 balls per week where your ONLY goal is to swing as fast as possible. Forget accuracy for a moment. 🎥 Padraig Harrington speaking with Tom Coyne of The Golfer’s Journal. How much faster could you swing if you weren’t worried about where the ball was going? 👇

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️New review from SuperSpeed user Foxhall Parker ⬇️ “I increased my max driver club head speed from 102 to 113 mph and am now carrying the ball over 270 yards. I've become one of the longer hitters in my golf groups, which I never expected in my late 30s. What surprised me most is that the gains didn't stop with my driver. I've seen a distance increase through every club in my bag. On top of that, the speed sticks and Squeeze Trainer have given me a much better understanding of where my clubface is throughout my swing, which has translated to better face control and more consistent contact with my woods and my irons. The SuperSpeed app is also fantastic. It makes setting up a personalized training plan straightforward and does a great job of tracking your gains over time so you can see exactly how much you've improved. SuperSpeed is the best training aid I've ever used, and I've tried a lot of them. I've already recommended it to friends and would encourage anyone looking for more distance and a more efficient swing to give it a try.”

Mastering the Step Back Drill 👣 One of the best drills for learning to use the ground and sequence your backswing the right way. The keys: ✅ Time the step with the club — as the club starts back, step back with your trail foot ✅ Land on the inside of your trail foot during the backswing to load the trail side properly ✅ Push hard off the trail leg and swing with full intent Not sure you're doing it right? Every SuperSpeed protocol drill is inside the SuperSpeed app with step-by-step video guidance, so you can follow along and be confident you're doing each drill correctly. 📲 It's a staple of our protocols. Train it 3x per week and watch the speed climb. 🚀

💪 Want more club head speed? Don’t overlook your grip strength. Grip strength is an often-overlooked component of golf performance and research has found a relationship between grip strength and club head speed. Most traditional grip trainers only strengthen your hands in one position. The SuperSpeed Squeeze was designed specifically for golfers. ⛳ Unlike conventional grip trainers, the Squeeze allows you to develop grip strength in multiple positions throughout your golf swing. ✅ Train grip strength at different points in the swing ✅ Perform one- and two-handed exercises ✅ Build strength with golf-specific isometric holds and dynamic burst squeezes ✅ Hit balls with it on your club With our structured SuperSpeed training protocols, you’ll know exactly how to incorporate grip strength work into your routine. 🎥 David Jensen is putting the Squeeze to work this off-season as he works toward more club head speed! Are you training your grip strength, or just hoping it’s strong enough? 👉 Learn more about the SuperSpeed Squeeze at superspeedgolf.com/products/…

🚨 Padraig Harrington has a warning for every golfer trying to get faster. Just because you’re getting stronger in the gym or swinging faster during training doesn’t automatically mean that speed will show up on the golf course. You have to train the transfer. @padraig_h emphasizes connecting your training directly to your golf swing. Here’s the process: 1️⃣ Train the movement. Perform a specific speed, strength, or sequencing drill designed to improve your swing. 2️⃣ Transfer it to your golf club. Immediately rehearse that same movement with your own club to connect the training to your actual swing. 3️⃣ Hit golf shots. Apply what you’ve just trained while hitting balls so the improvement carries over to real golf. This is a key principle behind the SuperSpeed Golf training app. We don’t just want you swinging training clubs faster. We want you swinging YOUR driver faster and hitting the ball farther. 📲The SuperSpeed App programs all this for you so all you have to do is follow along.

Here’s a look inside LPGA golfer Jaravee Boonchant’s training routine and how SuperSpeed fits into the process with Team Glorius. Strength training is an important foundation for developing clubhead speed. But there’s a difference between being able to produce force in the gym and being able to apply it during a golf swing that happens in a fraction of a second. That’s where combining strength and speed training becomes so valuable. 🏋️ BUILD STRENGTH – Develop the physical capacity to produce more force through traditional strength and conditioning exercises. ⚡ TRAIN EXPLOSIVENESS – Improve your ability to generate force quickly through dynamic, high-velocity movements. 🚀 DEVELOP SWING SPEED – Use SuperSpeed OverSpeed Training to practice moving faster than your normal golf swing and develop the ability to produce higher clubhead speeds. 🎯 TRANSFER IT TO THE COURSE – Combine physical development with golf-specific speed training to help turn improvements in the gym into performance with a driver.

Your grip might be strong in the gym. But how strong is it at the TOP of your backswing? 💪 The top of the backswing is one of the most important positions to develop golf-specific grip strength. Why? As the club transitions from backswing to downswing, your hands and forearms must manage changing forces while maintaining control of the club. Grip strength is not exactly the same at every wrist position and joint angle. That’s why we developed drills like the Two-Hand Squeeze at the Top using the SuperSpeed Squeeze. 🔵 Position-Specific Strength: Train your grip in the actual positions where you need to apply force during the golf swing. 🔵 Isometric Strength: Develop the ability to generate and maintain grip force while holding the top-of-backswing position. 🔵 Club Control: Strengthen the hands and forearms that help you manage the club during the transition and downswing. 🔵 Better Transfer to Golf: Complement traditional gym training with exercises that challenge grip strength in golf-specific positions. The goal is to develop strength you can actually use during your golf swing. Try this Two-Hand Squeeze drill at the top of your backswing and discover a different way to train your grip. 👉 Learn more about the SuperSpeed Squeeze at superspeedgolf.com/products/…

Are your speed gains showing up on the golf course? It's one thing to swing faster during a training session or on the range. It's another thing to stand on the first tee, driver in hand, and actually make that faster swing when it counts. That's where a Handheld Radar the PRGR Launch Monitor becomes one of the most valuable tools in your toolkit so you can measure your real on-course speed. Click below to learn how to measure your real on-course speed and take your gains to the course. 👉 superspeedgolf.com/blogs/new…

Your grip might be strong in the gym. But is it strong where it matters most in your golf swing? 💪 Traditional grip strength training is great for building general strength. But gripping a dynamometer or squeezing a hand gripper isn’t the same as controlling a golf club moving at high speeds. Golfers need to develop grip strength in the actual positions and movements of the golf swing. Here’s why: 🔵 1. Strength is position-specific. Your wrists, hands, and forearms experience different demands throughout the swing. Training grip strength at address, the top of the backswing, and other key positions helps develop strength and control at those specific joint angles. 🔵 2. Static strength matters. At the top of the backswing, your hands must maintain control of the club while preparing to change direction. Isometric grip training in this position challenges your ability to generate and maintain force without movement. 🔵 3. Dynamic strength matters too. During transition and the downswing, the club is accelerating and changing direction. Your grip must respond to rapidly changing forces while maintaining control of the club. 🔵 4. Stronger doesn’t automatically mean faster. General gym strength provides a foundation, but golfers also need to learn how to apply that strength during high-speed movements. That’s where golf-specific training becomes important. Don’t just train how hard you can squeeze. Train your grip statically AND dynamically, at different joint angles, and in the positions where you actually need that strength during the swing. We developed the SuperSpeed Squeeze as an easy way for golfers to train this way alongside 3 levels of guided protocols in the SuperSpeed App.

3️⃣ reasons why the new SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro are good for warming up before a round from David Jensen 1. The Grip: your hands have to be warmed up too, and to me, a larger grip provides a gentler warmup than trying to squeeze a narrow grip early in the morning. 2. It forces me into deep rage of motion: it’s been well known for a while that bringing your body into more ROM than you need in the golf swing is a great way to warm up. The extra weight allows me to get into that ROM. 3. It lets me know when it’s actually time to start. Your body changes day to day and it takes longer to warm up sometimes. With the PRGR monitor I am able to see when I am consistently swinging at my typical speed, and then I know it’s go time. We have 2 pre-round warmup specific protocols built into the SuperSpeed App to ensure you are ready when getting to the first tee.
