A busy November morning on DLR Central 🚲
Kids cycling to school, commuters cycling to work. A safer route makes it easier to choose the bike. Every trip that shifts from car to bike leaves more room on the road for others.

A couple of hours in and already people got the message. It's safe to cross the road.
No vehicles, no honking horns. Just walk, relax, and shop!
Monday morning on Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, along the DLR Central cycle route. Kids heading to school and commuters heading to work.
Modal shift in action, made possible by safer cycling infrastructure.

Join us on the 5th of Nov to discuss the developments in the town
Lower Mounttown Road reopened this morning, and what an improvement. What really stands out is how much calmer drivers seem to be too. Before the works, this road was a grubby mess. This is a fantastic upgrade. @dlrcycling @dlrcc @dunlaoghairecra

I hope they do Abbey Road next. There's a lot more room to work with than on Mounttown Road. Also, a lot of on-street parking, despite large driveways.
The finishing touches are finally being made to DLR Central on Mounttown Road Lower! It looks fantastic, and the road appears set to reopen in both directions for all users tomorrow. #safestreets #activetravel @dunlaoghairecra

This is really good, but its an AI model: now @dlrcc can you get started on the real thing?
The actual place could be beautiful, but AI models are exactly that, artificial!

Join us for a public meeting on the 5th of November in the Maretime Museum on Haigh Terrace
The final section of DLR Central on Mountown Road Lower is nearing completion. It will make journeys safer for commuters, especially children travelling to and from school. It has already helped more children cycle to school, and this final link will build on that progress.
Good to see site works beginning on new homes at Sussex Street on the former site of the Boylan Centre. More people living in central Dún Laoghaire, close to shops, services and public transport, will add life to the town.

This could open up an overlooked part of Dún Laoghaire Harbour. The current route past the yacht club is a detour many people skip. New steps, an accessible ramp and a public plaza would make the space easier to reach and enjoy.

Fingers crossed it stays that way! The new planting on Cumberland St looks lovely too.
