Really sad news, I have so many childhood memories from the Abbey, I feel like I grew up there with my dad racing and actually racing as a Robin myself in 1993. What a race track it was, had some serious Aussie battles there over the years !!!!!

Sad news to hear about Swindon’s stadium today. I had some unforgettable memories racing at the Abbey, the track, team spirit, management and fans were everything a rider could ask for.
I hope @SwindonSpeedway can find a new home soon ❤️

Michael Jones. Lifelong Robins fan. A permanent fixture at the Abbey and at away meetings and on coach trips down the years. Passed away Saturday 12th March. Supporters like Micky are what makes our club so special. Sincere condolences to all the family. #GiveUsAnR 🔴🟠⚪⚫🧣
