Friendship with a purpose. 🇨🇭🇮🇳
Happy to welcome members of the Switzerland–India Parliamentary Friendship Group- MPs @RajivPratapRudy, @arungovil12, @BansuriSwaraj and @vikramsahney to the 🇨🇭Residence.
We exchanged views on Swiss private-sector presence in India and the many opportunities that #TEPA brings. With strong momentum in our bilateral ties, particularly with President @ParmelinG’s recent State Visit to India, consistent parliamentary dialogue can help turn shared ambitions into lasting cooperation.

This presidential visit to India also allowed me to meet with several ministers: Nirmala Sitharaman @nsitharaman (Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs), Jayant Singh @jayantrld (Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship) and Ashwini Vaishnaw @AshwiniVaishnaw (Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology). We discussed priorities, challenges and opportunities ahead — with a shared interest in turning dialogue into concrete results.
India, thank you for the warm welcome, the valuable exchange, and your hospitality. Dhanyavād 🇮🇳🙏🏻

One of my favourite moments of the State Visit so far: seeing 🇨🇭President @ParmelinG interact with young #hospitality professionals and hear about their ambitions at the #ITC hotel in New Delhi.
Fascinating to see how Switzerland’s #vocational training expertise is being adapted to Indian hospitality through EHL’s VET programme, with learning by doing at its heart.
A promising future indeed!

One of the things I value most about the Switzerland–India partnership is how much we can learn from each other in #science and #innovation. 🔬
President @ParmelinG’s meeting with 🇮🇳 Minister @DrJitendraSingh was a chance to build on that strong foundation, and think about where we go next as technology evolves.
India hosted the 2026 AI Summit. Geneva will do so for 2027.
