Christian clergy of Iran, overwhelmingly Orthodox (actually "Apostolic"—Armenians and Syriacs didn't accept Council of Chalcedon and therefore don't recognize the dual divine and human nature of Christ (for them, Christ is only divine. Especially for Armenians)), are 100 % aligned with Islamic Republic. Some Christians in Iran are even more devoted to the Supreme Leader (Imam Khomeini) than some Muslims abroad. This is simply because Iran is the land, country where God gave them birth and where they chose to live t heir earthly pilgrimage. Therefore, they give their blood and their prayers for Iran

This is what Syria has been from its independence in 1943 until 2024, come what may: a society of a believing people (atheism doesn't hold sway in the Middle East... except in "Israel") where Antiochian Christians, predominantly Orthodox (Byzantine, Syriac), Armenians, with a Catholic minority (mainly Melkite, Assyrian-Chaldean), Sunni Muslims (majority), Shia and Alawite Muslims (affiliated with Shiism), and Druze are equal and fraternal. Unfortunately, a country called Turkey (the former colonial power), Zionism, and the West did not tolerate this socio-religious harmony and did everything to destroy it. Sadly, supported by the Sunni community, which has always struggled to consider Christians and Shias as its equals, this harmony was overturned, and a bloody regime, directed and controlled from abroad (Ankara, Tel Aviv, and Washington), was installed. One day soon, with God's grace and the prayers of our holy martyrs and the Panagia Theotokos, Syria, as part of the Holy Land, will be reborn with Lebanon.
