Will say a consistent theme RE: JB in the playoffs is just an inability to completely destroy one on one coverage. And he was getting true 1s, not superstar 1s where it’s one guy guarding you and 3 guys staring you down in the gaps.

It doesn’t get as much pub as the offensive struggles but Cs crunch time Defense has arguably been worse than the offense in playoffs. Gave up 129 per 100 in 23 and 126 per 100 this season in crunch time. 🤢🤢🤢

I feel like I’ve grown as a person since I was actually able to really watch this past disasterclass without cringing. I typically will never watch a playoff series loss, but I needed to grow up and actually get over that stuff.

Fr. Like Hugo just had one of the best Rookie seasons I’ve seen as a Celtic in my life and I don’t even think he averaged 5ppg. The goal is to win not average the most ppg.

People want Tatum to like be more of a midrange guy and it makes no sense. Every single one of those guys team offenses drop off a cliff in the playoffs.

It’s very simple. In the playoffs the idea of “just get to the rim more!” is like an insane thing to say to a star scorer. The other team is literally doing everything to make sure those guys do not get layups, so trading out layups for less efficient 2pt jumpers en masse is a winning strategy for the DEFENSE because they don’t even have to shift their defense to guard a mid-range pull up. They have to scrap everything to defend pull up 3s tho. You can’t defend the rim and the 3 at the same time it’s not possible!
