On this day in 1963, Capt. Humbert Roque “Rocky” Versace was wounded and captured while fighting an ambush in the U Minh Forest, Vietnam.
For the next 23 months he led his fellow American POWs, attempted escape four times despite untreated wounds, rejected Viet Cong indoctrination, and never broke. The last thing his brothers heard was Rocky singing “God Bless America” from isolation.
Unable to break his faith or his will, the enemy executed him on 26 September 1965. Remains never recovered.
He was the first Army POW awarded the Medal of Honor for actions in captivity. Awarded posthumously by President Bush in 2002.
West Point graduate. Ranger. Airborne. He had planned to become a priest after his tour.
Honor him.

I can’t believe this actually just happened:
So I’m flying to Atlanta for a speaking engagement, and I ordered a lyft to take my to my hotel.
Indian guy is my driver. I get into the car and he starts talking about his history doing ride shares and how much he gets paid (I didn’t ask).
But he tells me he was getting 1/3 of what the app charged me, so I made a comment that I didn’t realize the rates were so low.
He then goes on to inform me that he does other driving-type apps like DoorDash and Amazon, bragging about making $60 in 2 hours on Amazon delivering 8 packages.
I say “they must’ve been important packages,” and without missing a beat, he goes, “No, I opened them before delivering and it was boring stuff like phone cases and vacuum cleaners.
Literally under ZERO pressure he admits to opening other people’s mail simply because someone handed it to him to deliver.
We can’t keep living like this.

For the last several years, left-wing activist groups have hosted information and training sessions for prospective jurors in DC. This is part of an organized effort to nullify the DC jury pool in order to give Democrats and their allies in DC de facto immunity for politically motivated crimes while subjecting anyone they suspect of being a political opponent to a “guilty until proven innocent” standard.
It’s a complete perversion and total inversion of what the justice system in this country is supposed to be, but Democrats care more about protecting Democrats and hurting Republicans than they care about the justice system, let alone the country.
No doubt Democrats and the legacy media (but I repeat myself) would be wailing like banshees on crystal meth if the situation were reversed.

The Secretary of State sets the statewide standards and guidance, but county recorders are responsible for actually performing and implementing signature verification.
Arizona law (A.R.S. §§ 16-550 and 16-550.01) explicitly requires the county recorder (or other officer in charge of elections) to compare the signature on an early ballot affidavit with the voter’s signature in the registration record, using broad and local characteristics as defined in statute. The 2024 law largely codified procedures from the Secretary of State’s Signature Verification Guide, which serves as the official reference for how evaluators should assess matches.
The SOS issues the guide and the Election Procedures Manual that provide the legal and procedural framework. However, day-to-day operations—technology used, screen layouts, number of review levels, who performs the reviews, and what information is displayed—are handled by the county recorder’s office. That is the scope of the changes Recorder Justin Heap made in Maricopa County (removing party affiliation and other personally identifiable information from verifier screens, new side-by-side comparison tools, and bipartisan multi-level review). These are operational decisions within the existing state standards, not a rewrite of the matching rules themselves.
In short: the SOS defines the rules and standards; the county recorder runs the process and decides how to execute it locally.

This is my family. I refused warrantless entry because the Fourth Amendment still applies when CPS shows up with armed deputies. I offered a welfare check without police; they refused.
The next day they returned with emergency removal orders and took both of our daughters, including our one-month-old breastfeeding infant, and placed them in a foster home with a single father of 3 boys 😠. There was no criminal charge against us and no emergency. After an emergency hearing the court dismissed the removal order. Every major finding was later reversed as unfounded, and DFS abandoned its appeal. The damage—especially to a nursing mother and newborn—was already done.
I have since filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit (Yazdani v. Mieszala et al., EDVA 1:26-cv-03365) over separate LCSO misconduct. Accountability for the CPS side is next.
We are not the only Loudoun family to raise these issues. Sarah Legg (@sarahgracelegg) posted a detailed personal statement describing her own experience with the same worker: she alleges Kelli Hedrick abused her position, coordinated with law enforcement to have her arraigned while eight months pregnant (threatening jail, a fine, and re-education), and showed a pattern of manipulative conduct and poor judgment toward families. She specifically called out “deep concerns about Kelli Hedrick’s judgment, conduct, and influence on families and the local agencies of Loudoun County.”

Minnesota is dead serious about putting James O’Keefe and Cam Higby in prison for a maximum of 10 years.
This case is baseless, but in front of a liberal jury, they can land anything.
Everyone needs to come out and support these two.
They’re exposing fraud and Minnesota is trying to intimidate other journalists from exposing it in their state.

James O'Keefe and Cam Higby are being summons to court by the liberal Hennepin County district attorney.
If either of them fail to appear in court, this hack will get a warrant for their arrest.
O'Keefe and Higby have both been charged with felony unlawful voting and identity theft.
They are both facing 10 years in prison, if convicted.
The DA confirmed that both men NEVER SIGNED THE OATH OR CASTED A BALLOT.
There's no crime here--it's a move to discourage journalists from reporting on the fraud in Minnesota.
I'd like to see the DOJ's Civil division step in here.
