We are heartbroken by the passing of Dolores Huerta, a trailblazing labor leader, civil rights activist, and tireless champion for working people, who died today at the age of 96. For nearly 70 years, Dolores Huerta fought tirelessly for the rights and dignity of working people and immigrants. As a co-founder of the United Farm Workers, she helped secure better wages and working conditions for farmworkers and championed landmark immigration reforms that provided a pathway to legal status for millions. Dolores Huerta leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of organizing, solidarity, and unwavering commitment to justice. We honor her life not only by remembering what she accomplished, but by continuing the fight for the working people and immigrant communities she dedicated her life to serving.

More than 40,000 Travis County voters showed up on the first day of Early Voting! That’s the highest first-day turnout for a midterm election in Travis County this century, nearly matching the first day of the 2024 presidential election. The energy is real, and we have an opportunity to make history this November. But we can’t let up now. We’re in the final stretch, and we need everyone doing what they can to help get out the vote.
