I am determined to use our experiences @TCESgroup to help others to end SEND exclusions. We have 22 yrs experience without a single Permanent Exclusion & 4 years without a suspension. We cannot be excluding disabled children. It’s positively Dickensian. #EndSENDExclusions

I couldn’t be prouder of these young leaders. Every one of them are a credit to their school and they epitomise our Positive Journey of Change - from Isolation to Inclusion. They have certainly achieved the inclusion element of our programme. Well done all! 👏 👏 👏
An incredible season for the TCES East London School football team, finishing second in the league and proudly bringing home the prestigious Newham Cup🏆 We couldn’t be prouder of what this team has accomplished and look forward to the exciting chapters still to come✨ #TCES

I think you could dial down the rhetoric a dash. We are talking about children here not playing warmonger for the crowds. Or do you really believe they sometimes need neutralising. I’ll disengage at this point and let you play to your audience but seriously!
Replying to @TCESGroupCEO
Children often pose a threat to one another, sometimes seriously. If that surprises you, then you need to step into some challenging classrooms…

This sounds like Mission Impossible and the SAS all rolled into one. You neutralise the threat! Wow! Next we’ll have quotes on the Art of War by Sun Tzu. These are children not the enemy and if it reaches that point I think the reflection should be ‘What did I miss?’.

Come & see a DfE accredited online school, built on a quarter century track record of excellence in therapeutic education, clinical, and family support in TCES Group. In that 25 year track record we have never excluded a single one of the thousands of pupils we have taught.
If your child, or a child you work with, hasn't been able to return to the classroom for the start of the new term, we warmly invite you to join us on Wednesday, 8th May for the TCES National Online School's virtual open event....🧵

It is important to say that excluding disabled children is immoral and will be eventually illegal and the sooner the better. “A school is an inclusive place for all pupils not an exclusive place for some pupils”
An imp report today ⁦@ChanceUK⁩. The future of every child matters. No education system should be writing off the life chances of any child with special educational needs, development problems, or vulnerable home lives before they've even got going. itv.com/watch/news/charity-w…

During the Six Nations Rugby there is an allowance for a little bit of competitive spirit and fun. It’s the reason why I love Rugby. Allez les Vert: ☘️🇮🇪🏉☘️

1/2: I love the mantra of ‘when they push you away hold them closer’. However, isn’t it time we ended exclusions. We are building a school to prison pipeline for children with significant ACES, trauma & secondary trauma & undiagnosed SEND. I think it is time that schools became…
Terrific article in @SecEd_Education by Ellie Costello of @teamsquarepeg with advice on helping pull students back from the brink of exclusion, even when they say they do not want to be helped - and namechecking @Lads_Like_Us among others too. #EBSA sec-ed.co.uk/content/blogs/w…

Extraordinary. This is what I have been missing all these years. We can replace Teachers with Sergeants and soon our schools will be marching to a different beat. 🤔

This is the post of the month. Naomi, I couldn’t agree more and you have captured our philosophy at TCES in a nutshell. This is beautifully written and clear as crystal. Thank you.
I’ve been talking to young people who have struggled with school attendance. Sometimes called school refusers, or phobics, or those with emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). Here’s what I’ve learnt. 1/
