We don't always agree with the Railroads...but when we do, we share.
TODAY’S FACT CHECK:
70% of UP and NS rail workers now oppose the proposed merger.
You can spin the message, but not the math.
Unions opposing the merger:
@BLET
@BMWEDIBT
BRS
@IAM_Union
@TCUnionHQ
@transportworker
@IBEW
Vague “jobs for life” promises lack enforceable protections.

.@UnionPacific and @nscorp repeatedly say "majority of unions" support their merger. Here’s the facts: six unions representing 26,402 of 39,828 unionized workers, or 66% of the workforce, oppose it. This is not a majority — it's a pattern of misleading the public. #StopTheRailMerger stoptherailmerger.com/fact-c…

Because of your solidarity and strength, your Long Island Rail Road Union Coalition is back at the bargaining table right now with MTA and LIRR management. Your pressure is working. Your massive turnout on the picket lines is working.
Keep standing strong — we need your unity now more than ever as we continue fighting for the fair contract LIRR workers deserve.

New leadership is on the labor landscape as Matt Hollis takes the reigns as National President of @TCUnionHQ, a historic rail union that represents 25,000 American workers.
New legislation, championed by the @IAM_Union and supported by TCU/IAM, has been introduced in both the U.S. Senate and House to correct railroad retirement benefits for working retirees.
This is about fairness, protecting earned benefits, and ensuring that those who built this industry aren’t punished for part-time work, a second career or service to their communities.
We’ll keep pushing until our members get what they deserve. 💪goiam.org/news/imail/iam-uni…
