HUGE SALE in my webstore to celebrate my birthday. These are the lowest prices I’ve ever offered on comics, original art, and prints. So if you’ve been wanting to pick up some original art or fill in gaps in your Tyrell comics collection, now is the time! TyrellcannonDOTcom

... he adapts his visual storytelling to the material without losing his sense of motion, character, or personality. In each, the premise gets you to open the book, but Cannon is the reason people are enjoying the comic. (5/5)

Stepping back, what makes Cannon interesting is his range. From the muscular comedy of Beef Bros to the superhero absurdity of The Schlub to the velocity of vampire vs. nazis in Operation: Iron Coffin... (4/?)

There's a term in comic called the page-turner panel; the idea is that the last panel of every page should work to compel you to turn the page. With Operation: Iron Coffin, he does this in almost every panel, not just the last one on each page. (3/?)

Look at recently completed Operation: Iron Coffin. Tyrell's art (he colors himself) pulls you through the chaos of the story, and makes the brutality legible without being gory. The book is about Dracula vs. a train full of Nazis, afterall. (2/?)

One thing I appreciate about Tyrell Cannon is that his comics look like somebody who really likes comics made them. Not in the nostalgic, 2nd-hand nature... but in the sense that he understands how much you can do with a page, a pose, a cut, a ridiculous amount of motion. (1/?)

“Operation: Iron Coffin” is an absolute tour de force from start to finish. If you ever feel down about yourself, read this to remind yourself you’re so much more. If someone or something like Dracula can redeem himself, then so can we. nerdinitiative.com/2026/09/3…

“Operation: Iron Coffin #3 delivers a finale that’s brutal, blood-soaked, and bombastic from beginning to end. It also cements Kenny Porter and Tyrell Cannon as a creative team to be reckoned with, no matter the project.”

Commissions are available as part of the rewards for The Unsleeping Eye campaign! They're reasonably priced and can put us over the finish line if enough of them get nabbed up! Link in bio
