I think the dream section with the MCI had the potential to sneak in scenes where his dream and the memories of an MCI fuse leading to Mike seeing their luring
Like each night he come in contact with one different MCI which would allow him to see the memories of their death
Not only it characterize and humanize the MCI individually but it also set up Afton until the eventual reveal he’s also Garrett killer, it really a win-win situation
Mike already had the first night where he ran after GF spirit and the next where he go for Fritz, perfect setup-
