This is not as much of a win as people think.
@thsottiaux is very unclear here.
But it sounds like for those of us that still had the $200 20x plan that was being nerfed in 2days is basically just not and it's business as usual.
Problem with that? The 20x plan usage is still garbage and can be burned in a single day.
So this isn't a doubling at all for existing users.. it's just not further degradation.
@thsottiaux I'm only mildly impressed but this is not the news we deserve. 👎

We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

By popular request, you can now text your dot.
Give it a task to take off your plate or something to keep an eye on, using text, photos, or even voice notes. It will text you proactively with relevant updates.
Safe, secure texting via iMessage or RCS. You’re the only one who can text your dot, and your dot can only text you. Rolling out now as a preview for Pro users in the US.

They downsize due to revenue and flat out ban the usage of ai even if they desperately need to use it because it could be cheaper than the lost workforce.
Some companies can't get out of the way of their own success even when the road map is laid out in front of them

I feel like you're scamming me out of my money at this point because you nerf my usage limits and give me a useless product.
I have zero use for a bot. A team of bot's on the other hand, is another story.
the 30th is the day @OpenAI gives their $200 sub users the middle finger.
These limits are already scam level.. and they nerf them 50% on the 30th..
For context, that means I use my "WEEKLY" limit in 0.5days soon.. and thats with Sol 6.1 ONLY usage.
This sub tier has turned from nearly unlimited to garbage tier from gpt 5.4 -> 6.1 updates.
I have no idea what @OpenAI is doing with the Terra family model but they sure as heck are dragging it thru the mud with this latest update.
Terra 5.6 at release was GREAT at code review, seriously.
Mid-cycle and more just before Astra 6 release, Terra started just refusing to complete requested tasks on its own.
I gave up on the model after fighting with it for weeks.
Terra 6.1 releases.. and all its doing is refusing to complete tasks I give it and prematurely stopping.
Nice to see Terra just flat-out refuses to complete required tasks..
Seriously, it was my first prompt with terra 6.1 high as well..
