When you're so old you don't understand simple game mechanics. I nearly died...

Seeing all this PvP VS PvE debates on here, surely the full sweats understand that the normal dude only gets a few hours a week to game, compared to their 6-8 hours plus a day right? The disparity between casual & sweat has never been wider, & the money involved in streaming & gaming has inspired a whole generation of gamers to take it seriously. Imagine all those millions of young kids Ninja & Shroud inspired in 2018/19, they're now late teens early 20's & GRINDING. IMO, SBMM solves some issues but adds others, (increasing queue times & making high level SBMM insanely unfun). PvE modes seem to increase the games playerbase, but at a cost of the PvP modes, which become super sweaty or ratty with only the experienced players left. Having played pro, & now a full time variety streamer (I'm shite) I've seen both sides of the coin. One thing's for sure, we need each other for our favourite games to thrive. Interesting problem for game devs to solve, & most prominently in my mind is HUNGER. How do you make your game fun for new players who play 2 hours a day, but also fun for experienced dudes who grind it 24/7 without compromising queue times or fun, & who do you prioritise? The causals or the sweats? I'm in a hospital waiting room, sorry for the essay. 🫠

We finished Valor Mortis today, & started Silver Pines. This is off the back of the Hunger playtest & GTA 6 coming out next month. Fucking good time to be a gamer, actually spoiled for choice. Loads more good games too honestly, these are they ones I've played the past 2 weeks.

I genuinely think this is my most anticipated title since PUBG came out. I didn't think I'd be saying that for an extraction RPG but yeah the last beta was great, can't wait till the 19th. 👊

Man I'm looking forward to the Hunger Closed Beta coming out on the 19th. I know GTA VI is out this year, but this is my potential GOTY.

I did some consulting on this way back and was concerned with the jungle environment. It can be a beautiful setting, but it's pretty one dimensional & unique POI's are hard to shoehorn in, so everywhere just seems to look the same. I was also really surprised they didn't just copy/paste PUBG gunplay straight in. Baffling really, considering it has some of the best gunplay mechanics in gaming IMO. Just hoping for PUBG 2 before I'm 50. 🧑‍🦳

This was an absolutely fucking awful change if you stream solo in a popular category. If I have 600 viewers, but 5 others have 200 each & combine, I get pushed down the list 5x. If 2 sets of friends do that I get pushed OFF the front page. I'm literally binned. Plus ones that abuse it. Mental. Glad it's getting looked at.

It wasn't the fact people had inflated viewer numbers that was causing the issues, it all boils down to how "high up" you are on the list. If this change doesn't change that, then absolutely nothing has changed... Useless then. 🫠

Some little twat at school has kicked Georgia off the climbing frame & she's fallen about 6ft & broken her arm. Looks like she needs surgery to straighten the bones. Is death by firing squad still acceptable? I'm absolutely fucking fuming. 🤬
