1/2) Got my research up on SSRN so its available for free. My research on Portfolio Management Using Relative Strength and Momo was published in the Fall 2022 Journal of TA. The empirical data shows buying strong assets beats buy and hold. $SPX $NDX $STUDY

After 354 straight trading days above it's 200 DMA, SOX will close below it today. This was it's 5th longest streak ever. Semi's either traded sideways or kept falling in the year following all other breaks below the 200 DMA. This doesn't mean they can't be traded. $SMH $SOXX
Energy & Healthcare are at all time highs. Staples & Materials are just below ATH's.
Energy, Healthcare, Staples, Materials, and Utilities are the only sectors that have been positive over the last 60 days.
Evidently this one isn't going to finish the 5 day period in the green.
I've got a signal that fired for gold today. This signal fires about once every two years and, on average, is bullish for gold over the next 5 trading days. Come to your own conclusions. $GLD

A moving and fitting tribute to Private Aidan Goulding.
Pray for Wainwright. Pray for his family, his fellow soldiers, and all those mourning his loss.
I'm not long here, though I might get long tomorrow if $GOOG is down again. The below numbers are my projected forward returns for Google given today's data.
This is modelling, not a time machine. Come to your own conclusions.
$GOOGL is on pace for it's worst day in history. Currently down -12.25%.
Second picture shows the previous 5 day forward returns for the two times that Google was down -11% or worse.

Three things I don't love about the current market set up:
1) Hyperscaler credit spreads have broken above their July (Leopold Liquidation) wides (chart below).
2) Index momentum has stalled and entered a consolidation.
3) Financials/Staples ratio falling apart.
Canada's version of Ilhan Brohmar has big thoughts
real talk @BradMBradford, you ran a hell of a race. itβs prob hard to not have really dark thoughts but please know you are alone and you should give into them
One of my proprietary volatility indicators has spiked. This type of vol often comes near local bottoms, but stocks are more susceptible to big down days here. My $.02:
1. In a normal market, stocks should find a bottom soon
2. It's odd this vol hasn't impacted $SPY more

A new poll on immigration from the Environics Institute finds that first-generation Canadians and non-white Canadians have stronger opinions against immigration than white Canadians and third-generation+ Canadians.
63% of first-generation Canadians and 60% of non-white Canadians think too many immigrants are not adopting Canadian values.
57% of first-generation Canadians and 54% of non-white Canadians think that many refugee claimants are fake.

π₯EXPLOSIVE ATIP: Immigration Canada knew Indian agents were running MASSIVE FRAUD in the trucking industry and the student visa program as early as 2017 β and stamped the evidence "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
According to records released under the Access to Information Act, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) maintained an internal procedures manual for its New Delhi visa office documenting systemic fraud across the student visa and temporary foreign worker streams. The manual instructs officers to treat fraud as anticipated rather than exceptional
The most damning thing about this scandal is not the fraud β it's that the government predicted it, kept it running, and then stamped the file "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
Canada didn't lose control of its immigration systemβthey monetized it.

McGillβs law school receives roughly 1,500 applications for just 180 spots.
It gave one of those spots to a convicted murderer in his mid-60s, who will never pass the good character requirements to practice, and who violated his parole multiple times.

I continue to be baffled that so many see a game with 3 downs, unlimited motion, 12-players aside, no fair-catch, 65-yards wide and one-yard off-the-ball as βAmericanizedβ.
GOOD-BYE 55 - This week marks the final week in the CFL regular season which means it will also be the final time we see a couple unique features of the league, that will go away next year due to incoming rule changes.

Wondering why does Canadian tech talent leave for NYC the second they graduate?
Because Toronto is full of wannabe Silicon Valley founders demanding 996 grind culture, cosplaying as the next Elon Musk, and paying Tim Hortons wages.
They want Stanford talent, OpenAI output, and McDonaldβs payroll. And then these delusional fucks have the audacity to call it a βtalent shortage.β
No, buddy. The talent isnβt missing. Itβs just smart enough to leave.
i'm hiring a team of grinders who are early in their careers :)
> in-person, full time
> downtown Toronto
> non-technical
> $20-30/hr (depending on experience)
