WRONG WAY DRIVER: 13 News received new video showing a wrong-way driver on I-19 this morning that caused several crashes.
Santa Rita Fire says, "At approximately 7:08 a.m., Santa Rita Fire District was dispatched to Interstate 19 following reports of a wrong-way driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes between Pima Mine Road and the Canoa Road exit.
SRFD units staged at various locations along I-19 while law enforcement attempted to stop the vehicle. During the incident, SRFD responded to multiple traffic collisions reportedly caused by the wrong-way driver. No injuries were reported. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) was able to stop the vehicle near
kilometer post 56 on I-19."
