Diagnosis after 3 games: Positives 📈Tulane has multiple RBs that can gain yards that aren’t blocked for them. 📈Makhi Williams looks primed for a breakout year. 📈Cooper Helmke has an NFL leg. 📈Fat Hill COULD be a first team all conference WR if we get him the ball. 📈2 minute offense. Concerns that could improve: 🤔OL has improved in run game but pass blocking looks shaky. 🤔 Pass rushers have show flashes of getting pressure. 🤔 Semonza outside of the two minute offense. Red flags: 🚩 Gap discipline vs the run on defense. 🚩 Tackling on D. 🚩 QB ability to make correct RPO decision (both Semonza and Chriss have been poor). 🚩 WR depth and playmaking ability outside of Hill. If we sort out some of the question marks and marginally improve the first two red flags I still think this team can compete for a championship, but if they don’t improve it will be a rough season.

Was shouting this all game. We had a dude run for 200 yards last week and barely gave him the ball. Seems like we over thought the gameplan on offense this week. Hill with zero catches is more on Semonza imo

Destyn Hill and Jaylin Lucas only get 7 touches on the day, clearly your best offensive players and you barely use them. Offensive Play-calling, package sub/putting the best guy in the best situation, 2 min drill/hurry up, and short passing game all need to be fixed. Defensively 3rd down, tighter coverage, and pass rush need some tooling

Mixed bag this game. Love that we were able to establish the run. Defense seems too young for these big games so far. Hopefully they get better as the season goes on. Semonza gotta look for Hill more. We move, a successful season is still on the cards #RollWave

Incredibly weak takes from UTSAhead ball coach Jeff Traylor. This isn't high school football. Lot of standouts at the sec level were playing in the American last season. Comments like this set back American conference football massively

For no particular reason I was looking back at the 2023 Tulane roster and the names are insane.
