We can’t afford to wait while Britain’s economy grinds to a halt. The Lib Dems have a plan to cut the cost of living and keep Britain moving.

Tonight Lib Dem MPs voted against the unfair family farm tax. We’re gutted that Labour MPs voted for it. The tax will hammer many farmers earning below the minimum wage and will reduce the amount of food the UK can produce. It is cruel and stupid. We’ll keep on fighting it.

Our amendment to the Renters’ Rights Bill will, for the first time, require the Ministry of Defence to assess service family housing annually and report on whether it meets the Decent Homes Standard.
