🇾🇪|General Mobilization of Taiz’s Tribes
All the tribes of Taiz Governorate not just "some tribes" or "a few tribal leaders," but *all* of them have announced a general mobilization and full-scale readiness with a single objective:
To completely drive Saudi mercenaries out of Taiz Governorate.
This is not a "local conflict." This is not a "tribal dispute." This is a collective declaration of war by the people of Taiz against twelve years of Saudi occupation.
The tribes of Taiz are not merely "supporting the Houthis." They are defending their land, their dignity, and their future. They see Saudi mercenaries the Islah Party, the so-called "Giants Brigades," the "Nation Shield" forces, and various armed gangs bought with money turning Taiz into ruins. They have had enough.
Now, they are taking matters into their own hands.
🛡️ Why the Tribes? Because the People of Taiz No Longer Trust Saudi Puppets
Taiz is one of Yemen's most populous governorates. It possesses deep-rooted tribal traditions and powerful local armed forces. For years, Saudi Arabia attempted to control Taiz through the Islah Party (a branch of the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood), buying off tribal leaders and arming its proxies.
But Saudi Arabia failed.
Saudi Arabia failed because its proxies:
◾Withheld wages fighters in Taiz went months without pay, only to be told, "Want your salary? Go take that mountain."
◾Plundered aid humanitarian supplies were seized by Islah-affiliated gunmen while families in Taiz went hungry.
◾Bombed their own Saudi warplanes targeted their own proxies as they were retreating. ◾Flight, Yusuf al-Sharafi, the Saudi-aligned commander of the Taiz front, fled to Lahj Governorate. The Chief of Staff of the Emergency Forces was killed.
As the proxies fled, the tribes stepped up.
⚔️ The military reality in Taiz: Saudi defense lines have collapsed.
The general tribal mobilization is not an isolated event. It is taking place against the backdrop of a series of decisive victories achieved by the Yemeni forces in Taiz:
◾Seizure of the Rasin mountain range overlooking the critical routes connecting Taiz to Lahj and Aden.
◾Reaching the Safiya junction severing the final supply line between Saudi-backed forces in Taiz and Aden.
◾Liberation of 255 square kilometers in 24 hours the pace of the advance by Yemeni Armed Forces and Popular Committees in Taiz Governorate.
◾Capture of Masahin, the Mukarma Heights, and Zakira.
◾Capture of Bani Muhammad and Kuwayra fighting has advanced to Za'azi and Bani Shehb.
◾ Destruction of supply bridges severing key logistical routes connecting Saudi-held territory to Aden.
◾Turba on the verge of falling local tribal leaders are already negotiating a peaceful handover with Sana'a to avoid bloodshed.
What is the Saudi response?
Bombing water towers. Bombing homes. Bombing police stations. Bombing the vicinity of maternity hospitals.
This is all an aggressor losing the war can do: slaughter civilians and then pretend they are still "fighting."
🔥 The strategic significance of tribal mobilization: From "proxy war" to "people's war of liberation."
The general mobilization of the Taiz tribes marks a fundamental shift in the Yemen war.
In the past, Western media portrayed this war as "Iran-backed Houthis vs. the Saudi-backed Yemeni government."
Now, the tribes of Taiz those whom the Saudis once tried to buy off are telling the world: this is not a proxy war. This is the Yemeni people's resistance against foreign aggression.
The tribes of Taiz are not fighting for Iran. They are fighting for Taiz. They are fighting for their homes, which have been bombarded by Saudi Arabia for twelve years. They are fighting for their resources, which have been plundered by the Islah Party. They are fighting for their dignity having been denied wages, abandoned, and treated as cannon fodder.
When all the tribes simultaneously announced a general mobilization, the entire political structure maintained by Saudi Arabia in Taiz lost its foundation.

The Yemen Trap
By: Zaid Hamid
The Middle East is once again approaching a dangerous crossroads, and Pakistan now finds itself closer to the fault line than it should ever wish to be. Renewed fighting involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis has transformed an old regional conflict into a fresh test of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
But for Pakistan, the most serious question is not simply what is happening in Yemen. It is whether Pakistan will allow itself to be pulled into it. That danger has become more serious because Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. The agreement provides that an armed attack against one member can be regarded as an attack against all. Pakistan itself, however, has repeatedly stressed that the agreement is defensive in nature, is not directed against any particular state, and is intended to strengthen deterrence and regional stability rather than create another instrument of confrontation.
That distinction is critical. Pakistan must honour its commitments to Saudi Arabia. Saudi security matters to Pakistan, and attacks against Saudi civilian centers, economic infrastructure and sovereign territory cannot simply be dismissed. Islamabad has already condemned recent Houthis attacks and reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. But supporting Saudi Arabia’s security is not the same thing as entering Yemen’s war.
Pakistan must resist every attempt, whether coming from abroad or from voices inside the country, to blur that line. A defensive alliance must not become an offensive mandate. There is always a danger in moments of crisis that treaty obligations are interpreted as broadly as possible. That would be a grave mistake. A mutual-defence agreement should deter aggression against member states. It should not automatically become a mechanism for intervention in another Muslim country, participation in a civil war, occupation of foreign territory, or open-ended military operations against a movement deeply embedded in Yemen's political and tribal landscape.
The conflict is not simply “Saudi Arabia versus Yemen. Iran's relationship with the Houthis further connects the conflict to the wider struggle for influence across the Middle East. Entering such a conflict would mean stepping into overlapping civil, regional, sectarian and geopolitical struggles. For Pakistan, that is precisely the kind of strategic trap that must be avoided.
Pakistan does not need another distant war. Its armed forces exist first and foremost for the defence of Pakistan. The country has its own borders, its own security challenges, its own economic pressures and its own regional responsibilities. Committing Pakistani soldiers, aircraft or naval forces to a prolonged Arab conflict would create consequences far beyond the battlefield. It could damage Pakistan's relations with other Muslim states. It could complicate relations with Iran. It could expose Pakistani interests to retaliation. It could deepen internal political and sectarian tensions. And it could transform Pakistan from a potential mediator into yet another belligerent. Perhaps most dangerously, once Pakistan enters such a war, Islamabad may no longer control the point at which it ends. That is how strategic entanglement works.
Pakistan should refuse the false choice that says it must either abandon Saudi Arabia or fight Yemen. Pakistan has a greater role to play: not as a participant in intra-Muslim wars, but as a leader of the Ummah.

Balochistan is certainly NOT lost.
What Pakistan is experienceing is a foreign funded insurgency which is backed by multiple regional powers - India, Israel, UK, US and Afghanistan-- providing money weapons and technology to the insurgents.
Balochistan is 43% of Pakistan.... This huge land mass has hundreds of kilometres of empty spaces, mountains and caves, which provide ideal hiding spots for the small groups of insurgents, who travel light and have some local support.
So far, the insurgent can only carry out brief hit and run operations. Plant an IED or ambush a convoy or attack a remote unguarded town. They cannot hold a place or control an area. They do not have the capacity for that yet.
But for Pakistan, this is still a manageable problem. The insurgency is a nuisance and a serious one at that, but nothing beyond that. The province is still functioning, life still goes on and development works still being carried out. Overall, the state remains in control. The state security forces are taking losses, but they are also killing the enemy in numbers.
So far the weakness of the Pakistani state lies not in the strength of the enemy, but in the incompetence of the Pakistani leadership in handling the crisis.
There is no political ownership, there is no coherent effort to win the battle of the narratives and the military strategy deployed is also outdated, not responding to the needs of the fast evolving battlefield where the enemy is constantly adapting using technology and intelligence.
For Pakistan, it is mostly a self inflicted wound. Pakistan bleeds not because of the strength of the enemy but because of the complacency and criminal negligence of the decision makers at all tiers - both political & military. But it is a fixable problem.
Balochistan is not going anywhere. RAW and it's piglets will be crushed, no matter how long it takes.
