Out of touch liberal elites don’t understand that for the average American the Cheesecake Factory is the nicest place they can imagine. For these people, sweatpants are like tuxedos. They think of Tweety Bird as a kind of God. Don’t you dare condescend to them.

'slop' is cognitive offloading!!!
no shade but maybe stop using the word "slop" and actually articulate what you don't like a piece of art or you're doing kind of the same thing as the bad art you're attempting to critique

It's called "managed decline" dude. It's so sick. Ok, so get this. There's no national project or anything to believe in but the elites will impotently gesture at previous periods of national progress without understanding the context for that period of prosperity. It rocks.

NEW: Just days after Ecuador's president met with Kristi Noem, ICE arrested his political foe in Miami. Even though an immigration judge found it likely José Serrano would be tortured, the U.S. deported him in a hasty process that took a single day. nytimes.com/2026/09/16/us/po…

Jalapenos aren't spicy anymore. Or maybe they never were. I don't remember anything that ever happened to me in my life.

I just hate movies like that in general. Movies where large creatures are just trying to survive by consuming things but yet mankind thinks they have to go in and kill them. Like humans are the real monsters

i remind folks that almost all the major falsifiable political predictions that they made in ai 2027 so far have turned out incorrect they thought china would consolidate almost all their labs in mid-2026 and the us government would not meaningfully respond to cyber capabilities
In AI 2027, we predicted that AI would take over the world or irreversibly concentrate power. In AI 2040: Plan A, we've laid out our positive vision for what should happen instead.

Getting there! But Socialist Party membership peaked at 120,000 in 1912. Adjusted to today's pop, DSA would need 430,000. SPA had 1,200 electeds across 340 towns and cities, 300 affiliated publications, and deep enough union roots Max Hayes threatened Gompers for AFL president.
It's pretty clear that the DSA network is a ruthlessly efficient machine in democratic primaries all over the country. We are in uncharted territory here. If these trends continue, this will be the most successful socialism has ever been in the history of the US electoral politics.

That assumes that there's a left populist road to a more radical socialism. I think the left populist milieus are places we can recruit socialists and that can contribute to struggles that politicize but I'm less certain. A left populism that governs the bourgeois state is at best social democracy without an organized social base.

wow, you think truth is an infinitely complex and groundless fractal rather than foundational and comprehensible? and that there is no privileged vantage point from which it resolves into a single stable object? you really showed those postmodernists.

Ironically, the proliferation of porn has not resulted in greater sexual freedom or authenticity. Zoomers who talk about getting “stepped on” don’t actually want to be stepped on; their authentic sexual desires have been totally replaced by empty pornographic memetic signaling

Dragged down the church steps by security, wrists bound by plastic ties, howling, “Platonists! You’re all filthy Platonists!” “Mommy, why are they taking that man away?” She draws the child close, stroking her hair. “Don’t stare, sweetheart. He’s one of those homosexuals.”

The administration just had diplomatic talks collapse in Islamabad and you are praising the Secretary of State throwing up 305 signs at an UFC fight in Miami. You are all unserious people.
