Bill C-223 is being sold as legislation that will save children’s lives. But the witnesses I questioned raised serious concerns that it could actually cause more harm.
Protecting children from abuse must include protecting them from parental alienation. We cannot ignore one form of harm while trying to prevent another.
MAiD in Canada is already facing serious concerns about failing safeguards, weak oversight and vulnerable Canadians falling through the cracks.
Just 20 days ago, the Liberals voted down my bill to permanently stop this expansion.
Mental illness and advance requests are separate issues, one has been extensively studied and has broad consensus, the other does not.
With the March 17 deadline approaching, the Liberals are holding Parliament ransom.
I lost nearly 25 years with my father because I was taught to believe he was someone to fear.
I know firsthand the damage parental alienation can do to a child, and I know that mothers can be responsible for it too.
Today, I challenged Bill C-223 which could make it harder for courts to recognize when a loving father is being pushed out of his children’s lives.
Children must be protected from abuse, but that includes emotional manipulation by either parent.
Fathers matter. And children deserve the love of both parents when those relationships are safe.

Canadians are losing jobs, yet the Liberals are making it easier for foreign applicants to compete for skilled-trade jobs.
I asked Minister Patty Hajdu: What about Canadian workers?

But Canadians still don’t know the rules, the cost, or what we’ll be giving up.
Mr. Carney, let us see the fine print.

CARNEY LIED
Carney EXPLICITLY said he WOULD NOT engage in defence cooperation with China.
He then SECRETLY began military talks with China on DEFENCE COOPERATION.
Carney tried to HIDE this. We only learned about it from CHINESE STATE MEDIA.
NOTHING Carney says can be trusted

Mark Carney rightly believed there was too much bureaucracy in defence procurement, so he added a new bureaucracy to tackle the problem, and now the head of that new bureaucracy has quit because he says he is fed up dealing with all the bureaucracy.

📷 TIME SENSITIVE - Will Canada Expand MAiD to the Depressed, Addicted....Young Women with Eating Disorders?
Yesterday, Faytene sat down with MP Tamara Jansen for a sobering update on the government’s planned expansion of medical assistance in dying—currently set to take effect in March 2027.
Bill C-218, introduced by Tamara, would stop MAID from being expanded to people whose sole underlying condition is mental illness.
A recent all-party parliamentary committee unanimously recommended that this expansion should not proceed. Yet without legislative action, vulnerable Canadians—including those battling depression, addiction or profound isolation—could soon become eligible for assisted death.
Bill C-218 is expected to be debated again at second reading on September 23, with a vote anticipated on October 7. If it passes, it will proceed to committee. If it is defeated, the bill will die—and there is no guarantee another bill will be introduced that offers the same protection.
This should not be about partisan politics. It should be about protecting vulnerable Canadians and ensuring they are offered compassionate care, meaningful support, and hope.

Energy is wealth. Canada has it in abundance.
For eleven years, the Liberals have treated that advantage like a liability. It’s time we started treating Canadian energy like the source of prosperity it is.

Standing on the shore of Lake Ontario yesterday……yes, it’s still Lake Ontario…..I was thinking about what Canadians are being asked to endure.
Jobs are being lost. Businesses are hurting. And we still haven’t seen the deal Mark Carney walked away from.
Before Canadians are asked to pay the price, we deserve to know why.
