It was fantastic to partner with @stjohnambulance to deliver some of these sessions at Newcastle College.
What a great end to the year for @stjohnambulance street first aid programme Young Responders... lots more first aid know-how to be passed on to young people in a lot of communities over 2024... Thanks to @Charity_Today for the support.

Well done to @northumbriapol who ran a fantastic policing operation at today’s Wear Tyne derby.
Fewer than 10 arrests and the match and public transport remained free from violence and disorder.
Sincere thanks to the hundreds of officers and staff from our force and others who supported from around the country. You played a huge role in keeping fans happy and safe today.
Thanks also to Newcastle and Sunderland fans for such a positive day and to @SunderlandAFC, @NUFC and @SunderlandUK for your slick planning and a successful joint operation. A day to be very proud of.
#UPDATE The policing operation for today’s Wear/Tyne Derby passed largely without incident, with the overwhelming majority of both home and away fans enjoying the match and showing the friendly good humour that the North East is well known for. ⚽ (1/4)

It can be a difficult conversation, but a conversation that needs to be had ❤️
@SiBrown56189377 @connorbrowntrst
It's really important that we have open and honest conversations about knife crime.
One tragedy is too many, and I don't want to see any more families suffer that heartbreak.
I discussed my ongoing campaign, the work of my VRU & @northumbriapol, and more with @bbcnewcastle. 🎙️
Our next speaker at the #SafeguardingConference is Tanya Brown from the @connorbrowntrst alongside Northumbria Violence Reduction Unit.
