A photo allegedly showing actress Alaa Hussein’s response to a post claimed to have been published by Rusli al-Maliki circulated on social media. The alleged response read: “Shut up and leave me alone.”
#The_Truth:
The circulating image, which purports to show actress Alaa Hussein’s response to a post allegedly published by Rusly al-Maliki, is fake; it has been determined to have been generated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
We examined the circulating image using specialized image analysis tools, and the results showed that the image is fake and was generated using highly sophisticated AI techniques.
When we examined the image using Google’s “SynthID” tool, the results indicated that it was created using that tool.

An announcement regarding the updating of applicant information on the Social Safety Net was circulated via the Telegram app, accompanied by details claiming that the update process involves filling out an online form in exchange for a fee.
#The_Truth:
The form being circulated is fake and fraudulent; it is part of a hoax claiming that applications to update applicant data on the Social Protection Network are being reviewed in exchange for a fee, nor does it originate from any of the official pages or websites of the “Muzlati” platform, which is affiliated with the Social Protection Authority.
Upon verifying the claim using keywords in search engines, we found no reliable source to support it. Furthermore, the official accounts of the “Muzlati” platform or the Social Protection Authority have not published any similar announcement on social media or official websites, and no media outlet, whether official or unofficial, reported similar news regarding the Authority.
Upon accessing the alleged form, it became clear that it was created using “Google Forms,” and after filling out the first form, the ad’s publisher claims that those whose names appear on the list of accepted applicants must pay a fee to generate a barcode for updating their information.
The form also asks citizens to enter sensitive personal information, including full name, date of birth, phone number, religion, and residential information; therefore, we advise against entering or sharing any personal information via this link, as it is unofficial and was not issued by any relevant government agency.
Therefore, the “Tech4Peace” team warns against posts containing links to fake forms, which are used to exploit applicants’ data, whether for fraudulent purposes or other purposes that may cause them harm.

A video has been circulating on social media accompanied by text stating, “The Iranian president is having difficulty reading the Holy Quran, amid laughter and mockery from former President Hassan Rouhani.”
#The_Truth:
The circulating video, which purports to show Iranian President Masoud Bazshkan struggling to read the Quran, is fake; it has been determined that the video was edited from footage showing a young man struggling to read the Quran.
We verified the video by conducting a reverse image search on several frames from it, and found that it was posted on an Instagram account on October 7, 2026. The video shows two young men, one of whom is attempting to read the Quran; the account owner also posted other clips featuring the same two individuals.
Several indicators suggest that the video is fake and has been edited using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. The most notable of these are unnatural changes in facial features—such as the shape of the eyes or mouth—as well as a lack of synchronization between speech and lip movement, as well as illogical movements and distortions in the fingers, teeth, or background, along with changes in certain elements from one frame to the next.

A video circulated on social media accompanied by the caption “Attack on Netanyahu in Tel Aviv.”
#The_Truth:
The circulating video, which purports to show an attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, is misleading, as it has been determined that the video is old and dates back to 2013, and it actually shows an assassination attempt on Ahmed Dogan, leader of the “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” party in Bulgaria.
We verified the circulating video by conducting a reverse image search on several frames from it, and found that it was published on news websites on January 19, 2013. The video shows a man holding a gas-powered pistol and pointing it at Ahmed Dogan, leader of Bulgaria’s Movement for Rights and Freedoms party, while he was delivering a speech at a conference held on Saturday in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. Security guards managed to wrestle the attacker to the ground before he could pull the trigger.
This video has been circulating following the parliamentary elections in the Israeli occupation state on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with preliminary results showing a lead for the coalition led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, though it fell short of securing the required majority in the Knesset.

A video circulated on social media accompanied by the caption: “A Tashreen activist: ‘We are the Ba’athists, we are the Saddamists, and by God, we will not hand over Iraq.’”
#The_Truth:
The circulating video, which purports to show a female activist from Tishreen repeating: “We are the Ba’ath Party, we are Saddam’s supporters, and by God, we will not give up Iraq,” is misleading. It turns out that the video is old, dating back to July 2019, and shows a woman from Kirkuk glorifying Saddam Hussein and the Ba’ath Party during a protest in the city.
We verified the video by conducting a reverse image search on several frames from it, and found that it was posted on social media accounts on July 12, 2019. The video shows a woman from Kirkuk glorifying Saddam Hussein and the Ba’ath Party during a demonstration in the city, holding up a sign “We are Ba’athists and supporters of Saddam.” Subsequently, a judicial arrest warrant was issued against her on charges of glorifying Saddam Hussein and the Ba’ath Party during the protests that took place in Kirkuk Governorate.
Therefore, the video does not show an activist from the October protests, as it was filmed in July 2019, before the “October protests” began in October of the same year.

A photo has been circulating on social media accompanied by the following text: “This person in the center of the photo is with ISIS; yesterday, he was calling for the government to be overthrown in Tahrir Square.”
#The_Truth:
The circulating photo, which purports to show a person affiliated with ISIS participating in a commemoration of the October protests, is fake. It has been altered using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, and the original photo shows a different person—not the one claimed.
We examined the image using specialized image analysis tools, and the results showed that it is not authentic, as it was generated using AI technology to a high degree.
We also examined the image using OpenAI’s analysis tool, which confirmed that it was created using the company’s tools; it contains a SynthID watermark associated with AI-generated content.
We conducted a reverse image search on the circulating image and found that the original image, which shows a group of ISIS members, was published on several news websites; it does not show the person who appeared in Baghdad’s Tahrir Square, as claimed.
We also found a video clip showing the person who was claimed to be an ISIS member participating in a commemoration of the October protests in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, where he was being interviewed by a media outlet. and upon comparing his facial features with those of the person in the original photo, clear differences are evident between them, confirming that the circulating photo does not depict the same person.
The circulation of this false news coincides with demonstrations in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, today, Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Tahrir Square and the area surrounding Al-Ummah Park, to mark the seventh anniversary of the October protests that began in 2019, The area saw a heavy security presence and measures to regulate the movement of protesters, who gathered in Tahrir Square carrying Iraqi flags.

A video clip circulated on social media accompanied by the caption: “Tishreen Liberation Day: Commander Maybach Arrives Today.”
#The_truth:
is that the circulating video, which purports to show people during demonstrations commemorating the October protests in Tahrir Square in the capital, Baghdad, is fake, as it was found to have been generated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and the people appearing in it are not real.
We examined the circulating video using specialized video analysis tools, and the results showed that the video is fake and was generated using highly sophisticated AI technology.
When we examined the video using Meta’s “Meta AI” tool, the results indicated that it was generated using AI technology via the tool itself.
Several indicators suggest that the video was generated using AI technology, most notably:
- The Iraqi flag displays distorted and irregular text and symbols that do not represent the actual writing of the phrase “Allahu Akbar.” Additionally, the colors and edges of the flag overlap illogically with the people’s hands and bodies as the camera moves.
- The movement of the water and the people in the background appears repetitive and unnatural; the water seems to flow from fixed points in the air or to overlap with buildings in an illogical manner that does not conform to the laws of physics.
- The features of some people in the background change or suddenly fade away, while other faces appear blurry and distorted as the camera zooms in on them.

It shows a sewage truck driver protesting the municipality’s failure to pay his wages in the Kot Abdullah area of Iran’s Khuzestan Province—not at the Iraqi border, as claimed.

Users have been sharing a link via messaging apps that purports to be an application form for obtaining a plot of land under the “One Million Plots of Land” initiative.
#The_Truth:
The link to the application form being circulated is fraudulent, as it claims to be for applying for a plot of land under the “One Million Plots of Land” initiative, while the Prime Minister’s Media Office has denied that any application form for the project has been released to date.
Upon verifying the claim that an application form for a plot of land under the “One Million Plots of Land” initiative had been released, using keywords in search engines, we found no reliable source to support this claim. Furthermore, no statement regarding this matter has been published on the website or official accounts of the Prime Minister’s Media Office or the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities, and no local media outlet ,whether official or unofficial—reported on this news.
For its part, the Prime Minister’s Media Office denied the authenticity of the application forms circulating for the “Watan Initiative” project to allocate one million residential plots, confirming in a statement posted on its official account on October 23, 2026, that the project’s Supreme Steering Committee has not yet released any application forms and that the launch of the application platform will be officially announced soon, It urged citizens not to engage with unauthorized links or application forms or to pay any money to entities claiming to register them for the initiative, warning against the exploitation of citizens and affirming that legal action will be taken against those involved.
The form also asks citizens to enter sensitive personal information, including their full name, their mother’s name, date of birth, phone number, and residential and employment information. Therefore, it is advised not to enter or share any personal data via this link, as it is unofficial and has not been issued by any relevant government agency.
It is worth noting that the Iraqi government launched the “One Million Residential Plots” project with the aim of addressing the housing crisis and providing residential land to eligible citizens, while working to develop infrastructure and provide basic services for these plots.

A video circulated on social media accompanied by the caption: “She gave him a can of dog food and told him, ‘You’ve learned to betray and steal from your country, just like Iraqi politicians.’”
#The_Truth:
The circulating video, which purports to show Italian journalist Alice Martinelli offering dog food to former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in order to teach him loyalty, is misleading. and the accompanying caption does not reflect the actual conversation between them, as it turns out the video is old and dates back to 2019, and it shows Italian journalist Alice Martinelli offering Pompeo a piece of “Parmigiano-Reggiano” (Parmesan) as an expression of her opposition to U.S. policies that threatened Italian food producers, after the United States imposed tariffs on certain goods imported from the European Union at that time.
We verified the circulating video by conducting a reverse image search on several of its frames and found that it was published on news websites on October 1, 2019, It shows former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte receiving former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. During the meeting, Italian journalist Alice Martinelli presented Pompeo with a piece of “Parmigiano-Reggiano” cheese (Parmesan) as an expression of her opposition to U.S. policy that threatened Italian food producers, following the U.S. decision at the time to impose tariffs on certain goods imported from the European Union.
The actual translation of the dialogue that took place while the Italian journalist was presenting the piece of cheese to Pompeo was as follows:
Martinelli: “I have a gift for you, an Italian gift. The Prime Minister knows what I’m talking about. This is ‘Parmigiano-Reggiano’ cheese, one of the finest products we make in Italy, crafted by our farmers with all their hearts every day, so we hope you can help us and convey our message to Trump.”
