Tech Tribes Ireland

“The last year we’ve been talking about large language models, but it’s going to be really interesting to look at small language models,” said Kieran McCorry, Ireland National Technology Officer at @Microsoft. “You’ll see these more discrete use cases built into a smaller footprint and smaller devices. We’ve seen all sorts of advances on smaller language models from Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, etc. So it’s going to be interesting to see more bespoke use cases, as opposed to these foundational general purpose AI models.” He was speaking on a panel about AI's Next Leap for Enterprise + Startups at #AITribes alongside Stephen Redmond, Director, Head of Data Analytics & #AI at @BearingPoint, Bronagh Riordan Head of Data & Analytics @Primark, and speaker chair @BarryMDownes, Managing Partner at @SureValley Ventures. #ArtificialIntelligence #Tech #TechEvent #AITribes #Enterprise #Startup #Primark #Insights #DataAnalytics #Microsoft #llm #largelanguagemodel
