Welcome to the Techusiast channel! I'm Roland Udvarlaki, better known as Techusiast.
I've been creating videos since 2017 and have been in the tech industry and journalist space for nearly a decade. Here are the types of videos you can expect from my channel in 2025 and beyond.
If you do that...just get the regular iPhone 😂 Terrible advice! It's designed to be folded and unfolded, and while it is good practice to unfold it when it's hot and you need to charge it (to help dissipate heat more evenly), it's designed to handle it. Don't listen to this! 🤯
Keep your iPhone Duo Unfolded whenever IT'S NOT IN USE.
When charging, leave it unfolded. When placing it on your desk, keep it unfolded. Even when going to sleep, leave it unfolded.
When a foldable phone is closed, its display and hinge remain in a bent position. Keeping it folded for extended periods could put prolonged stress on the display layers and hinge mechanism. Leaving it unfolded allows the display to rest in its natural, flat position.
After seeing what happened to my Galaxy Z Fold 7 after keeping it folded on a shelf for two months, I'd rather take this precaution than risk unnecessary long-term stress on the display and hinge.
I just asked Gemini to turn on my TV, and it started speaking Korean? 😂 Seems like it heard something entirely different instead of "turn on the TV".
Gemini seems to be acting up nowadays. Sometimes, when I ask it to do a calculation for me, it'll straight up say the code out loud for 1-2mins, before correcting itself.
@Gemini, you might want to check what's going on. As always, reported 👌
Unboxing the Arc Pulse Frameless Case for iPhone 18 Pro in this awesome Light Blue version. It gives your smartphone a genuine feel and offers 10ft (3m) drop protection. It's made of premium aerospace-grade metal that keeps the sides shiny and protects it in a fall.
This feels so good, unlike anything I've ever tried. If you want to feel your phone as it was intended while keeping it safe, this is an excellent alternative to full-fledged cases!

I'm happy to see Apple backtrack on its touchscreen display promise and finally deliver it, but now, the problem is that macOS itself isn't exactly touch-optimized.
I'm sure that'll change (and Apple did make a few changes in macOS 27), but I'm happy to see even more options on the MacBook Pro lineup!
Finally checked out the iPhone Duo in person, and I must admit it looks much better than in the images. But my opinion still stands.
I'm so glad to see iPhone users finally join the foldable trend! It's a major win for everyone who can take advantage of all the extra space!
After catching up on the iPhone Duo coverage, I feel like Apple missed the mark here. As someone who has daily-driven foldables for over 5 years, this looks like a classic first-gen stumble. If you are on the fence about spending that kind of money, I’d wait for the Duo 2, or at least hold out a few months (though with current stock constraints, you might not have a choice anyway). (Full disclosure: I haven’t used or seen one in hand yet.)
Early app scaling issues will iron out over time, and a second generation will undoubtedly shave off weight. Those aren't deal-breakers to me; the developer ecosystem adapts fast. What won’t change overnight, though, is Apple’s UI decision to place the status bar on the right side.
I see the logic: on a wide main display, a sidebar puts key controls within thumb reach. But in practice:
- It punishes left-handed users (on cover screen)
- Most people use wide foldables two-handed anyway
- It eats into valuable horizontal screen real estate (in both states)
On a passport-style foldable that is already relatively short, reaching the top simply isn't the problem Apple seems to think it is. Sticking with a traditional top status bar would have been a far cleaner, and a less intrusive choice.
What do you think? Obviously, this is just my take based on years of using different form factors, and some might love the layout. Let's debate it! 👇

Unboxing the ESR Xtend 45W GaN Retractable Charger with USB-C Cable, compatible with most modern smartphones, tablets, and even laptops!. It features a 3.1ft (95cm) built-in, retractable USB-C cable, plus a separate USB-C port. It charges two devices at once and is durable enough to withstand 10,000+ bends!
It's a small power brick, and the added retractable cable makes it a great choice for the holidays and travel, when you need an extra port to charge your phone and other devices. It's portable, lightweight, and fits seamlessly in most pockets and bags.

The new Apple TV 4K looks and feels like a meaningful update that was well overdue, but that price!... That's criminal!
Jumping from $130/150 all the way up to $299 is insane. I expected a bump, but not that.

Not a fan of the new smartphone trend: making phones wider and shorter. Phones are already too wide (especially with a case on), and while tall screens can be awkward, at least they're easier to use one-handed.
Anyone else feel like wider form factors kill single-handed use? Why not keep the current width and just trim the height?
Unboxing the ROKFORM Crystal Clear Case for iPhone 18 Pro with MagSafe compatibility. It features Military-Grade drop protection, premium materials, a strong, clear PC design, and support for the unique RokLock mounting system.
It's one of the most durable, tough, yet sleek designs I've seen for the iPhone 18 Pro series, and yes, it's also available for the iPhone 18 Pro Max! I love how durable this feels and all of its protective features, not to mention the growing RokLock mounting system that makes this even more versatile!

Comparing the new Valve Steam Controller 2 vs Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers side by side. Both controllers feel excellent in the hand, and while the new Steam Controller is undoubtedly larger, it still feels like it would be comfortable to use during long gaming sessions.
This is the Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Anniversary Edition, which might look different from the traditional design; I can assure you it has the same components and features. In terms of looks, the PS5 controller is still my all-time favorite design, but in terms of functionality, the Steam Controller 2 is hands-down the best out there!
