If UK based this is now on Netflix. Uses @hirst_official and @HENI’s DHC project as the spine but also really interesting insights from @beeple, the @CryptoKitties story, @cryptopunks, music NFTs via @SeptmbrMourning, etc, etc. Well worth a watch imo. netflix.com/gb/title/8173493…

I couldn’t agree more with this take. Everyone will make their own case for their own bags… and I’m no exception. I’ve been watching and waiting, and stand by my view that DHC remains absolutely in this category. Multiple reasons. A thread;

It took me a while to get out of the bloody midcurve but I now see clearly that the top of the pyramid of the entire crypto economy are art NFT's, and in particular, deeply culturally-relevant and truly pioneering digital artists. They'll only get more expensive in time too...

Art becomes currency, currency becomes art. 🪙 With Damien Hirst's The Currency collectors had to choose: burn the token or keep it? 51% chose the physical; a compelling experiment in the value of digital vs physical art.

One year since the burn decision and what a ride it's been... Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I've not been in the discord much the last few months, but what an amazing @HENI community that was built from #TheCurrency Regrets burning a DH original for a jpeg? Maybe... 😂

Another great highlight for me this past year was generating the @hirst_official Beautiful Paintings. Such a clever idea, with literally infinite design possibilities. I would love to see this return at some stage @HENI #TheCurrency
