BREAKING NEWS
Having recently written to the Health Secretary outlining my concerns regarding The QEH, I am thrilled that today the Government has announced £3.9 million in funding for The QEH urgent and emergency care to help ease winter pressures on the NHS.
The Tories used to be such champions of the arts, so sad to see this. We should of course be funding more prison places, and the Government are, but not by sacrificing arts and culture funding.
We will cut the arts & culture budget by £1bn in order to fund 50,000 prison places. Keeping rapists and other dangerous offenders locked up is a priority for the @Conservatives. We will always put community safety first.
@RichmoMusic If you need help understanding the numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Always happy to talk you through.

Could banning Brazilian meat help the UK secure a better deal with the EU? 🇧🇷❌
Labour MP Ben Goldsborough says following the EU’s ban would show “collective action” as the UK negotiates a new SPS agreement with Brussels.
The Government has faced growing pressure to act since the EU banned most Brazilian meat and animal product imports last month. But with UK-Brazil trade talks also on the horizon, MPs are questioning whether wider trade considerations are influencing its position.

🗣️ OPINION: Farming appears to have found a stronger voice in Number 10, but will warm words translate into meaningful action?
With the Budget approaching and funding under pressure, FG's Jane Thynne asks whether Andy Burnham can deliver on public procurement, farm support and the family farm tax, or whether farmers will once again be expected to do more with less. 💼
"Will he remember his pledges to farmers uttered as he sorted potatoes on a Cornish farm?"
