I find it curious that the No campaigners say that the Voice will give rise to division in this country, yet use divide and conquer tactics to prosecute their case.

I find the No campaign’s argument that ‘this referendum is dividing Australia’ so bizarre. Every election we have almost half the country voting different ways. It’s called democracy.

There’s a lot of angry, emotional responses to my recent thoughts about the Voice, most of which are too vile to retweet. What they’ve exposed to me is a deep, uninhibited racism, & parroting of the relentless misinformation spewed out by no campaigners. The way forward is YES.

Whenever I see a Welcome to Country ceremony - at a sporting ground or any other event - I feel proud to be an Australian. I am proud to acknowledge our First Nations people and their 65,000 years of culture. I think it’s un-Australian to oppose these proud moments of recognition
