“I know when you get in this stance, when you get in this angle, what you’re going to do” Will Anderson details how in Year 2, with some help from Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil, his focus has shifted towards self-study to help build off his phenomenal rookie campaign #HtownMade

Take it easy😭 the Texans defense has perform well without Azeez in recent. Without Nico this offense has averaged 13 points in the last 3 games the offense has started and finished (including playoffs)
Losing Al-Shaair on defense is more problematic than losing Nico Collins on offense

Interesting factoids on Houston's offense through Week 3 per Next Gen Stats #HTownMade 🏈 9th in No Huddle usage (8.9%) 🏈 22nd in 2+ TE utilization (30.2%) 🏈 2nd in Jumbo Package (6 OL) (8.9%) 🏈 8th in 11-personnel (3 WR) (66.8%) 🏈 27th in under center snaps (32.2%)

Just out of curiosity, if you control for Week 2 and remove it from the sample, Houston would rank 10th in 2+ TE sets for Weeks 1+3 (41.9%) I imagine they'll settle into a easily top half of the league value by end of year.

Absolutely I was. Thought the process to land on Nick Caley (young coach, experience as TE position coach, background around multiple good systems) was A++ rock solid. Unfortunately doesn’t look like it’s going to work out. That’s the chance you take on young coaches.

I remember you were banging on the table for Caley

The Houston Texans rank 32nd (26.7%) in first down passing rate in the first quarter. Good call from Sean on the eye test.

There are 36 players to see atleast 20 targets through 3 games this season. Texans WR Xavier Hutchinson ranks last in passer rating (61.6) 35th in first down/route, 34th in success rate/route (8.2%) and 29th in EPA/route. One of the NFL's worst featured receivers #HTownMade

What I’m curious about is how much have that first down passing has been when trailing or when in hurry up. Feels like early in games they come out conservative

One fun number to add to this... Houston ranks 30th in 1st down success rate during the first quarter. They're successful on 20% of those first downs, only the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins are worse

#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts got leveled by D'Marco Jackson on a late hit and is now being evaluated for a concussion. Andy Dalton is in.

CJ said postgame they have been too conservative. Nick Caley has been horrible with tha play calling these last 2 games

That’s CRAZY. First overall and LAST in the first quarter. So they’re basically wasting the first quarter of every game doing what they suck worst at.
