I believe there's a difference between being confident/embodied, and acting like you're better than others, which manifests differently. Being embodied is wonderful, and it takes a lot to arrive at that place. You shouldn’t care about others' projections.
Sometimes, I wish people would consider that instead of assuming someone is unapproachable, it could be that you expect instant familiarity from strangers simply because of shared identities.
