They have these all over Dallas and most are already vandalized. Obviously one or a few city council members had to fulfill a promise they made to a donor. I can't think of any other reason why these were put up.
Honestly a lame call. Obviously I'm biased but Eric Nadel is a hall of fame broadcaster for a reason.

Heading out to the theater for You Can See Everything after listening to @gordonkeith on @TheMusersPod. Let's see if he's telling the truth or if he's a lying liar pants on fire.

Big news from @RobertWilonsky at @dallasnews. Our beloved Granada Theater is closing on Dallas' Greenville Avenue.

Jennifer's FOIA over the Texas Trans Network mailer will be denied in its entirety. Here's why
Lots of businesses who use pass thru entities for privacy will use what's called a private mailbox (PMB). The only way for a company to use a PMB to send and receive mail with the USPS is to identify themselves with a form. That form is PS Form 1583. It's a form that has to be notorized and involves disclosing the operator's driver license, passport, and other govt documents.
PS Form 1583 disclosure is prohibited under federal law. Even if a law enforcement officer called up the local postmaster they're required to reject the request. It would only be released under court order.
My request to expedite my FOIA request has been denied by USPS.
I argued that Texas voters have a right to know who is sending their kids propaganda BEFORE we vote, and early voting has already started.
Since many believe the mailers originated from the GOP / Paxton, a Senator in the Federal Government, I felt that "an urgency to inform the public about an actual or alleged Federal Government activity or operation" applied. Obviously, this didn't connect with whoever processed this.
I have 90 days to appeal.
90 days?
Federal law requires agencies to respond to FOIA requests within 20 business days 😑
Seen a lot of tweets about this mailer and it looks like it's headed for my mailbox today. Interesting enough it's addressed to my wife using her maiden name.
McConaughey has only voted in 3 November elections in the last 10 years (2018, 2020, and 2024). His registration address also appears to be a FedEx shipping station. Cool for privacy but I don't think you can register to vote at a PMB.
The Dallas Morning News has a terrible record of endorsements on the local level. In the 3 big contested races in last year's Dallas city council races they endorsed the loser (in D6 they endorsed someone who didn't even make the runoff).
I say that to point out they're recommending Talarico in the "Democratic primary". A little late for that, yeah?
The Dallas Morning News recommends James Talarico in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. Read why. bit.ly/4zAc2nP
This is what practicing medicine without a license looks like. Physicians are getting orders sent to patients without their consent and without their knowledge. If I did something like that I'd have my name slapped on a lawsuit by way of a federal grand jury indictment....
Story Time: Buckle up for this one.
Patient called today pissed off. They weren’t pissed at me, more so pissed at their insurance company @DevotedHealth and @CVSHealthPBM
For the past month, @DevotedHealth has been pestering them about switching their medications over to their mail order @CVSHealthPBM
First it was atorvastatin and Jardiance, because they said the patient would have “cheaper” copays.
The patient called us to verify those prices.
Our prices were identical to what they would have paid at mail order.
Patient told @CVSHealthPBM NO!
They wanted to stay local.
A few days later, patient gets a message from @CVSHealthPBM stating they had two prescriptions waiting to be sent to the patient. Just needed the go ahead to mail them out.
It was for the same 2 prescriptions they had said no to a few days prior.
Patient called them back and told them no, they want to continue getting them locally…. That was the end of it.
Until today…
Patient called back and said now @CVSHealthPBM has another prescription for metformin ready for me and has already mailed it out.
It’s a prescription we have been filling at our independent pharmacy all of this calendar year at a $0 copay.
Patient told them, I didn’t authorize you to get this prescription ready for me at mail order, how did you receive the prescription?
@CVSHealthPBM told them that their Dr. had authorized a new prescription for them.
Patient calls their Dr.
Dr. states they never sent a prescription to mail order @CVSHealthPBM
So, let me sum this up and put a nice little bow on it for you:
@CVSHealthPBM requested a new prescription from patient’s Dr. without their consent.
@CVSHealthPBM prepared the new prescription for patient without their consent.
And finally, @CVSHealthPBM mailed out the prescription for the patient without their consent.
I don’t know who is ultimately at fault for this, but it’s damn sure not the patient…
The patient keeps saying NO, but @CVSHealthPBM says we don’t give a shit, we’re going to do it anyway.

People keep asking why we’d make a flying car. Sometimes we don’t care about the practical applications. We just do things because we can. That’s the American spirit.
Reminds me of my profession (pharmacist) and using the title without being licensed. I don't know if TSBP has ever gone after a PharmD who wasn't licensed but called themselves a pharmacist. I do know they've gone after a bar for calling themselves "The Pharmacy". Pharmacy and apothecary are both protected terms.
If you graduate law school, you’re a JD. If you pass the Bar, you’re an attorney. And even then…it depends. I passed the Bar, so technically I’m a lawyer, but I haven’t practiced or paid dues to a state Bar in more than a decade. I have occasionally referred to myself as a lawyer or attorney, but I can’t actually do anything, so it feels a little dirty. I work as a communications consultant and creative.
I mostly use the title just for strongly worded letters to my parents’ HOA and to incite a tiny bit of panic in medical care providers.
When a beer at Globe Life Field is $17, you shouldn't need to wonder why consumption is down.
U.S. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION HITS RECORD LOW AS DRINKING HABITS SHIFT
Americans are drinking less alcohol than ever recorded, according to Gallup, despite the country becoming less religious.
The biggest declines are among Catholics, nonreligious Americans and infrequent churchgoers — groups historically more likely to drink.
Meanwhile, concerns about alcohol's health risks are rising across all religious groups.
Gallup suggests changing health attitudes, rather than religion, may be driving the nationwide decline.
Did you know his family played a big role in the Ken Paxton impeachment trial a few years ago? Remember the whole Mitte Foundation and Nate Paul controversy?
It was his family's foundation.
I've received 35 election related text messages since October 1st. I don't even remember getting this many in 2024 and that was a presidential year.
Throwing a fit over an animatronic bird.
Cool, cool. Sure, it wasn’t for sale. That’s the narrative Art of Play is gonna go with 👍 so the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird didn’t happen as you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending tone “yes, it’s for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you’d like me to find something comparable for you I can.” That all never happened and now it’s not for sale. Okay, cool. So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar. Got it ✅
And by the way, I obviously support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important and I always support them, but you don’t get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It’s not that hard to be kind. I never blast people but you my friend were an exception.
Your store is really cool.
Unfortunately, you aren’t.
Here's what will happen as I speak from experience: Dallas will fail to brief argument, the AG will do nothing because the city has to respond first, the case will be dismissed for want of prosecution, and they'll hope you forget about the request #FOIAFriday
The Texas Attorney General ruled Dallas must release records tied to trips of the mayor and Council members have taken. The city is now suing to keep it secret. wfaa.com/article/news/local/…
