"You should vod review" is a pretty common sentiment among FGC Improvement Guys, and I think this needs to evolve so it includes the notion that you need a method to properly engage with the knowledge you've gleaned from the vod review
There are a decent amount of people who vod review, and do it WELL, but don't have the reps of solving problems with the knowledge. "Oh I knew better than that" happens a lot during review, at least for me
Little Man has claimed a S@PS win. Villager is hot dookie but he’s glorious.
Best friend villager mains what happened here this is so strange
Most people are aware that the lack of interaction comes from people getting Fondled for getting in proximity to half the cast, but I think this is caused by the game being out for the too long, as much as I love the game and want to keep playing it
I tried using zen mode on NA Smash Ladder but I'm such a little smash chudling that the character/location/in-game tag let's me guess who it is essentially every time. And also the people in chat go Oh Hi Thass and I don't know who it is until they join my arena. Double useless.
Been playing a lot of Villager, and he has taught me how often things in Ult happen on Accident. I never realized how often I got away with people just running into my 60% combo starter, whereas Villager has to be extremely purposeful, his “accidents” are irrelevant
We talk about "resource gaps" being a large factor in why players are able to get better faster than others, switch mod availability, coaching, public transport, free time, etc. But I think by far the most meaningful is a Culture Gap and I don't think that's acknowledged enough
Its REALLY tough cultivating a culture like that, finding people who have bought in or are willing to buy in, especially if its JUST you who is trying to make it. But if you can, this is REALLY how you get good, in my opinion. And if you can't cultivate it, find it online
