It’s bc in 10 years, the # of entitled, hateful, racist, inappropriate ass holes I’ve cared for FAR out-weigh the kind ones.
Case in point: I work nights in an ICU. My blood glucose was low (clearly I didn’t know or feel it dropping nor did I realize it was already low). I continued to work my shift until suddenly I kept forgetting what I was saying/doing, I was hot but cold while dripping sweat. I apologized and excused myself.

if someone you “love” was experiencing immense pain, illness, major life changes, major traumas, was suicidal & withdrawn as a result but still doing their best to continue showing up, & you make it about you + everything you’re “not getting” from them you’re probably an asshole
