JOSEPH ALMAJDI OPENS THE NIGHT WITH A CLEAN UNANIMOUS DECISION WIN TONIGHT Joseph Almajdi set the tone at the Frost Bank Center by claiming a unanimous decision over previously undefeated Miqal Dolphus in a six-round super welterweight scrap that kicked off the Navarrete-Foster prelims. The rising Fort Worth prospect used his 6'2" frame to establish range early, landing clean jabs and straight rights while Dolphus pressed forward with power punches that kept the action lively. Epic exchanges defined the middle rounds as both fighters traded momentum, with Almajdi’s footwork and timing edging the sharper moments and Dolphus landing heavy body shots that tested the winner’s durability. Judges scored it clearly for Almajdi, improving his record to 6-1 while handing Dolphus his first professional loss and ending the Houston fighter’s undefeated run. The bout stood out as one of the stronger preliminary openers in recent memory, delivering consistent action and competitive rounds that earned applause from the San Antonio crowd. Almajdi’s victory positions the young contender for bigger opportunities on Top Rank cards, proving his ability to close out tough assignments against quality opposition.
