🚨Schedule for the Week of 11-8-26💿
Somehow, Halloween returned 🎃
Seriously, I don't know why I scheduled so much spooky content this week... including a watch-a-long double feature of both Kolchak made-for-TV movies.

This is terrifying. What's to stop this from being used to change entire meanings of important conversations or speeches? The news is fake enough. Now add something like this to live broadcasts.
Microsoft has filed a patent for an AI system that could rewrite what people say during livestreams in real time. It could change words depending on who's watching, taking into account their age, location, and language.
The idea is to clean up broadcasts by removing filler words, censoring swearing, or even replacing certain words.
The AI could also adjust the speaker's lip movements so viewers wouldn't notice anything had been changed.

I'm a huge Kodansha fan or at least what they help her published here overseas. It's a huge bummer seeing them go down this path and potentially lose millions of dollars simply because they wanted to pump slop. WHA was a decent show tho I lost interest pretty early on. I don't think I'll go back to it at any point now that I know that it was meant as entry level propaganda. The pattern is always the same the first one is decent then it gets progressively worse as time goes on. Like the sequel and season 2 curse where the propaganda kicks up a notch. They're just going to have to lose their investors millions until they figure out their mistakes sad to see it come to this.
Gender equality, Inclusivity, Climate action... is now a part of Kodansha's message... a company once known for its unapologetic promotion of Japanese entertainment, is now a UN puppet.
In 2020, Kodansha joined the United Nations SDG Media Compact. It is a framework that "encourages" media and entertainment companies to promote the 17 sustainable development goals... and they aren't quiet about it either. They actively promote it on their website and promote UNESCO talking points about gender, equality, equity, and inclusivity.
Now they are talking about “gender stereotypes,” sexualization, and “violence against women” as things that need to be tackled in Japanese manga etc... This means more “inclusive” stories, less fanservice, stronger “assertive female” themes that fly in the face of the usual unapologetic, uncensored, and sometimes dark stories.
Witch Hat Atelier is the prime example of this, where the author’s UNESCO interview literally talks about identity, inclusivity, disability, and “inborn abilities,” women’s rising role in manga, and “women's anger” in an unstable world... and it is looking more like a UN psyop rather than an actually domestically produced story.
UN/UNESCO has not been quiet about its criticism against Japanese media, where they attack the unfiltered depiction of gender stereotypes, sexual content, or "violence against women," sometimes pushing member countries to monitor and regulate it. It has even gone as far as pushing for the criminalization of certain types of content, especially loli content.

"Hello, localizer. I want to play a game. All you have to do is faithfully translate a single sentence of Japanese text without inserting any dated zoomer slang or gamergate lingo and the door will open"
Physical media library post of the day: Day 282
Firehawk from Camerica and Codemasters (unlicensed) for Nintendo NES
This is way too @AikoZurie-coded for Spain and Portugal 🍿🍔
Lately, I've been thinking about revisiting some of those early games I streamed to an audience of zero (or one). Is that weird?
In a few cases, they were some of my true favorites, so it feels like I wasted them.
🚨Tonight at 7:00pm EST💿
It's been a long time since I did any drinking. As much as I'd like to keep it that way, Barbie on Sega Genesis may have other plans. nitter.cf/i/broadcasts/2MEXoXkpO…

This!! A lot of people are really misunderstood about this, but I hope that they can come to see just how beautiful, loving, selfless, and compassionate God is, and how amazing what He did for us is. He died so that we could be saved from our sins and the result of our own sins/actions, simply by accepting the free gift of salvation by trusting in Him.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
There’s a reason these are some of the most popular verses in the Bible, because it perfectly embodies Gods character, His love, redemptive plan, and the gospel in one short and sweet message.
One of my friends…He goes, I just can’t believe in a God that would send me to hell just because I don’t believe in Him.
I said, Why is that?
And he goes, Because that’s an ultimatum. Believe in Jesus or go to hell. That sounds manipulative.
I said, Let me ask you something. If a building is already on fire and someone kicks the door open and says, Come out, this is the only way, is that an ultimatum, or is it a rescue?
He said, What do you mean?
I said, Well, you were already going to hell. I was already going to hell. That’s not God being cruel. That’s humanity choosing sin, and that’s justice.
God does not send innocent people to hell. The fact is, there are no innocent people. The standard is perfection. Not better than your neighbor. Not mostly good. Perfection.
I asked him, Have you ever lied? Have you ever lusted? Have you ever hated someone? Have you ever been prideful?
He said, Yeah.
I said, Well, then you’re guilty. I said, To be honest, I have too. We’re all guilty.
And he goes, So you’re telling me it’s believe or just burn?
And I said, No. It’s guilty but rescued. You weren’t standing on neutral ground and God came up and just shoved you toward the fire. You were already falling, and He caught you before you hit the ground.
Jesus didn’t come to threaten you. He came to take your sentence. The Cross was not an ultimatum. It was a substitution.
Justice says the wage of sin is death, but love says, I’ll pay it for you.
A friend asked me, But why make belief the condition?
And I said, Because love can’t be forced. Salvation is not a hostage situation. It’s a gift. If someone pays your debt, you still have to accept it. If you refuse it, the debt doesn’t disappear.
God is not saying, Believe in Me or I’ll torture you. He’s saying, You’re already dying. I made a way. Take it.
Hell is not proof that God is cruel. The Cross is proof that He’s not.
And if you’re wrestling with that same question, it means the door is still open.
Stream = Ended!
Sanitarium is getting so dark. It's a really good game, but so disturbing. Hopefully, we'll finish it next week 😭

I'm not entirely anti-AI or anti-data center at all.
I'm just fed up with what AI has done to the consumer electronics and PC markets. RAM, SSDs, & GPUs in 2026 should not cost more than an entire PC in 2023.
