Plainfield Country Club’s 11th hole has earned quite the nickname: “The shortest Par 5 in New Jersey.“
The funny part? It’s actually a Par 3!

My Top 5 public golf courses in North Jersey might start a few arguments, especially at No. 1!
5. Knoll West
4. Berkshire Valley
3. The Architects
2. Ballyowen
1. Francis A. Byrne
Which course did I leave out?
One New Jersey golf club. Three championship courses. 54 holes!
Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster originally opened in 1965 with 27 holes designed by Hal Purdy. By 1994, the club had doubled its number of holes, becoming the largest golf facility in New Jersey!
Eagle Ridge Golf Club earned the No. 5 spot in my Central Jersey public golf course rankings!
Built across a former sand quarry, Eagle Ridge brings some terrific elevation changes and a back nine with plenty of character.

POV You're playing the 5th hole at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, and the Manhattan skyline is right there on the horizon!
6,141 yards from the back tees, and a back nine that makes you earn every shot!
We’re heading to Medford Lakes Country Club for all 18 holes
