Just like the sower scattered seed anywhere and everywhere, living in the era of the internet, YouTube, Spotify, and smartphones means we can leverage all these means of free global distribution for the greater good. Here at THE EMMAUS TABLE, we thrust the seed of the Gospel anywhere and everywhere through YouTube, our global app, website, and more. We are constantly developing new content to produce and distribute across the internet—like the sower who went out to sow. Like Paul, who poured himself out like a drink offering to the nations of the earth for the hope of Israel (Phil. 2:17; Acts 28:20). This year, our YouTube channel alone has reached hundreds of thousands of people in fifty countries. Our content was viewed (on YouTube) 893,448 times! This is not including social media, our app, or our website. The reach possible through the internet is unprecedented. Our love for Jesus possesses and compels us to get the Word out to everyone everywhere. You can get a glimpse at these global stats in the graphic below, and see where we still have yet to reach. Many of the countries we have not reached yet require translations of our content into their languages, something our translation team is ardently working on. There’s much seed to scatter in 2027. A farmer friend once told us something simple: if you want a healthy yield you start by paying attention to the seed. That stuck with us. For The Emmaus Table good seed does not mean improving Scripture. The seed does not need our help. It means handling what we have been given faithfully. It means refusing to trim a passage until it fits the moment. It means doing the research before making the claim. It means staying with difficult texts long enough to understand them in context.
