A HCW (whom I had to ask to wear a mask in T1diabetic child's room) in a hospital told me that if they knew what was causing T1D-- they would surley try to prevent it.. I threw my hands up and asked-- "Would you?!" They had no idea that COVID is linked to #diabetes. #MedTwitter

Just sharing my (extended) family’s latest #COVID experience & Symptoms (KC Kansas area) -horrible fever for 4-5 days -really red eyes for 5-7 days -Illness lasted 7-8 days First dr visit only tested for flu & strep -One member so sick that his eyes swelled shut 1/2

I'll die on this hill, but it's cruel to accuse people who wear masks of having anxiety disorders. We don't do this to people who wear hard hats, condoms, medical gloves, sunglasses, life jackets, parachutes - the list is long!

Talked to an old friend yesterday about how hard it is to be disabled and try to protect my baseline with all the viruses, and she just kept saying how she didn't want to be 'uncomfortable' and would rather die early than take any precautions. So just...fck people like me then??
