A Gen Z joined office in January and her new teammates got a glimpse of the future workplace. First day in office. Within 10 minutes, she asked: “Is there a good angle for natural light here?” They thought she meant the workspace. She meant content. She sat down, opened her laptop, and before opening Outlook, she posted a story: “first day at the grind 💼✨” Grind, It was 10:17 AM. During a meeting, the manager said, “Let’s take this offline.” Gen Z nodded and replied, “Cool, Let me DM you.” At lunch, instead of eating, she took photos of the food from three angles and said, “Guys don’t start, this is for the dump.” Dump. In the evening, she packed up at 6 sharp and said, “I’ve done my hours.” Someone asked, “What about the task?” She said, “I’ll do it tomorrow, I have to finish an anime.” Before leaving, She posted another story: “Survived corporate day 1 😮‍💨” Gen Z doesn’t work in offices. They document them.
