Good on Danny! The only party that wants to renationalise water, a policy that consistently polls at 80–90%, is the Green Party.

Danny Dyer has delivered a petition to Downing Street calling for the water industry to be nationalised.

This is on every American now. Don't just blame those that voted for Trump. Include those that are doing nothing to remove him.

Americans are deliberately assisting Putin kill Ukrainians.
It is hard to fathom: They withheld regularly provided intelligence, knowing it would cause deaths and destruction, in order to force Ukraine to surrender to the attacker’s demands.

Washington is threatening.
▸ THE CALLS
Two Ukrainian officials say their American counterparts made the position explicit: if Russian energy infrastructure is struck during the ceasefire Trump announced on October 11, Washington will hold Kyiv responsible.
The calls went to the top. Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Presidential Office in charge of military affairs.
Mykhailo Drapatyi, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
One Ukrainian official described it directly: "They called all the top military officials with threats. They're telling everyone that they're going to turn off both the intelligence sharing and PURL."
PURL is the Priority Ukraine Requirements List, the mechanism through which American weapons are purchased for Ukraine. Intelligence sharing is the targeting data that makes precision strikes possible.
Both now serve as a means of influence.
▸ THE SEQUENCE
Kyiv was not warned in advance. Multiple senior Ukrainian officials confirmed that nobody told them Trump was about to announce an energy ceasefire on October 11.
The announcement came first. The pressure came second.
After Trump posted, Ukrainian officials were worked over the phones and told to comply. Not asked to negotiate.
Told to stop hitting Russian refineries.
Russia struck the Kharkiv thermal power plant hours after the announcement. That strike technically fits the White House framework because power plants were never covered.
Only refineries count.
▸ THE ASYMMETRY
Zelensky addressed the Warsaw Security Forum and stated the problem plainly.
Ukraine agreed to an energy ceasefire. But the American team knows what that means in practice.
Ukraine has a single oil refinery, Kremenchuk, along with limited reserves and export capacity.
It was heavily damaged by Russian strikes long ago. Importing fuel is simply Ukrainian reality.
So a refinery-for-refinery truce protects Russian war logistics while giving Ukraine nothing. Moscow keeps its refining capacity intact.
Kyiv is asked to stop hitting the one target set that actually hurts the Russian war machine.
Zelensky repeated that Ukraine will accept an energy ceasefire if it covers all energy infrastructure, including refineries. Power plants.
Grids. The things Russia actually hits.
Washington's answer so far is to threaten the country defending itself.

Oh he sent me an email, I think I’ll respond.
So yes, actually you did do something wrong President Trump, let’s first start with your broken campaign promises.
You protected your pedophile rapists friends instead of women who were raped when they were just teenage girls and you STILL REFUSE to release the Epstein files.
You started an unprovoked war with Iran that the vast majority of Americans do NOT support. You killed hundreds of children at a school in Iran and innocent people and are responsible for 21 U.S. service members deaths and 865 wounded. Your stupid war that you claim you have won like 50 times has destroyed our bases in the Middle East and hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military equipment and weapons, while depleting our weapons and ammunitions.
You are supporting, funding, and aiding genocide in Gaza that has resulted in approximately 22,000 children murdered, thousands of children with amputations, and over 70,000 orphans. And your so called Board of “Peace” has done nothing to stop war and is planning to oversee the very profitable reconstruction and take over of Gaza. One can only guess who all will get those blood money contracts, the Epstein class and associates.
And let’s talk about the basics that every single US president is supposed to guarantee to its citizens. Affordable cost of living and affordable fuel in which you have 100% failed to deliver and actually driven inflation and irresponsibly driven the cost of gasoline and diesel to record high levels.
So did you do something wrong?
Yes in summary, YOU are the snake that you warned us all about in the poem you read over and over.
You never cared about putting America first or making America great again.
You are the deep state, the Epstein class, and America last.
And my mistake was supporting you in the first place.

We currently see no signs from Russia that it wants to end the war. We see no basic steps toward de-escalation. Everyone is talking about diesel and forgetting about grain. In a month or two, everyone will start talking about an agricultural crisis. There won’t be enough food for countries across Africa, some Asian countries, and the Middle East, because we export millions of tons of grain to these very markets. And now Russia is blocking the sea.
The United States isn’t feeling the effects of this, which is why the focus is only on energy. This is another challenge. It’s hunger. And it can affect many countries. And we need to think about everything and everyone, because we all live on this planet. We can prevent many different crises before they even begin and avert the challenges they bring.

I'm testing the Russian bots, because traffic from Yandex bots is currently close to zero (check Cloudflare Radar). That's because Ukraine has imposed a ban on them — by firepower.
So I'm going to say the following things, which will most likely generate organic, authentic, human traffic, but without the bot traffic. Let's see:
* russia is a criminal state;
* russia is a terrorist state;
* russia is ruled by a criminal regime;
* Putin and the entire russian leadership, from 2014 and 2022 onwards, should find themselves inside the courtroom of The Hague Tribunal;
* Ukraine is defending itself against all of russia's attacks, pressure from the Trump Administration, and shipments of sophisticated components from around the world, including Europe;
* The Ukrainian people are, first and foremost, the ones whom we in Romania — and the Republic of Moldova as well (or especially) — should thank for keeping the russian Army at bay;
* The European Union is the best thing that has happened to Romania since the Great Union of 1918;
* The United States of America under Donald Trump has become nothing more than an empty shell of the values and principles it championed for decades;
* Donald Trump is a convicted common criminal, now also suspected of pedophilia and other forms of sexual abuse against girls and women in connection with the Epstein files;
* Elon Musk is an individual who has absolutely nothing to do with ethics or morality, not even remotely.
Feel free to add other things that might attract the bots' attention, and let's see whether they're still operating or not.

As the Government debates the selling of non commercial fireworks, maybe they could give a thought to the totally unnecessary use of fire lanterns.
As a farmer, I really wish people would stop releasing sky lanterns into our beautiful countryside. They might look pretty floating across the night sky, but what goes up must come down. And all too often, that means landing in our fields. Livestock can swallow sharp pieces hidden in their feed, become tangled in fallen frames or suffer terrible injuries. And that’s before we even consider the fire risk to crops, barns, wildlife and animal bedding. And please don’t be fooled by the word biodegradable. It doesn’t make them harmless.
Our countryside isn’t a dumping ground, and our animals shouldn’t have to suffer for a few moments of entertainment.
I would wholeheartedly support a UK-wide ban on sky lanterns. Would you?

When was the last time that any of presenters on @BBCr4today, or indeed anywhere @BBCNews, made an equally passionate stand for the right to a safe home for Palestinians after their dispossession and genocide? I can't remember one of them risking their job to call for justice
"Do you think that the state of Israel, as a safe home for Jews after the Holocaust and after the pogroms, has a right to exist?"

The Greens doubled their votes, Labour lost a third of their votes - in a seat where the Labour prime minister was elected two years ago, and which Labour has held since 1983.
Oh and your pal Farage ran 8 times before getting elected to Parliament and being crowned PM in waiting.

Efforts to save endangered vultures in South Africa are being boosted by conservationists working at a wildlife centre in Cheshire. 💚
African vulture species have declined by up to 97% during the last 50 years, according to wildlife organisation BirdLife International.
Now the Gauntlet Birds of Prey Centre in Knutsford is trying to help reverse that trend.
"Vultures are vital in every way because they're a clean-up service - they're pretty much like nature's binmen," explained Jake Bessant, who works at the centre. "They get rid of carcasses, they stop the spread of disease, they clean up water sources - they've just got a massive importance because they do a job that not many animals can do."

Zack Polanski would doubtless have loved to win the Holborn by-election. He managed to triple the Greens' share of the vote, in a difficult seat for the party and in the midst of Labour's short Burnham honeymoon.
Yet the media reaction is as one: shouldn't Polanski resign? The question isn't a question at all. It's a prompt your brain is supposed to interpret as proof he's failed, he's damaging the party, he needs to be replaced.
It's intended to bypass the reality that Polanski has turned the party's fortunes around in terms of vote share and MPs, that the Greens are now a major insurgent force in UK politics, that he helped drive Starmer out of office and is driving Burnham further left than either Burnham or the Blairite Labour bureaucracy are inclined to go to win back the left.
The sanctions against Israel's illegal settlements happened because of the Polanski-led Greens, not because Labour suddenly saw the light – after three years of conspiring in a genocide.
The Green surge under Polanski is also driving the break-up of the cosy old two-party closed shop that has overseen the wrecking of Britain's industrial base and the economy's dependency on a financial sector whose only policy is ever-deepening austerity for you and me.
Those are the reasons the political and media class want Polanski gone. And they will keep trying to short-circuit your brain into thinking that that would be good for the country rather than just for them.
