This is how most of the coffee gardens in Masaka look like now. The trees flowered (for the big May season), and, due to the prolonged drought, all the flowers dried up with no berries formed. Many people in Masaka survive on coffee now, and theyβve heavily invested in fertilisers. Many gave up on matooke, which was only failing and failing despite care. We better get set for terrible hunger and other problems associated with sudden poverty.
