Yesterday, v14.3.12, this happened. FSD used the turn only lane to continue to the next light. A car in the through lane cut in front of me. At 12 seconds in the video, FSD simply quits. I didn't touch the brake. I didn't touch the accelerator. I didn't press the scroll wheel.
I probably shouldn't have let FSD go into that turn only lane. But cars do it regularly. Speed was low (8 mph when FSD disengaged.) There was no collision. Could have been worse.
@TeslaAI
I retired 14 years ago from my I/T security career. My LinkedIn profile is still getting hits. Should I follow up with SpaceX? 🤔😆
I'm training muse.ai to merge slides with audio.
(@SpaceX @grok @elonmusk Can Grok Bot do this in the free edition?)
I have many audio sermons with powerpoint slides that I want converted into mp4 video. I began with a particular sermon series, giving muse.ai precise timings for each slide. Then I gave the following prompt:
My assessment: Not nearly good enough. I'll still have to provide exact time stamps for each slide. The speaker is talking from the slides but not literally reading them. Understanding of the context of the audio and the relationship to the slides is necessary.
OTOH at least muse.ai did make an attempt. It spend an hour working on this. It completed the task and gave its analysis of the quality of its work. It did improve on its "first cut" performance on prior classes.
My grandmother was born in 1904, and died in 1996. She experienced the transition from horses to automobiles (and eventually even flew across the country on an airplane once.) She saw the introduction of electricity and telephones and indoor plumbing to homes. She lived most of her life without home air conditioning. She survived the Great Depression and two world wars. Her sons were the first in the family line to get college degrees. She was on Medicare when men walked on the moon.
Today we are living in the singularity. Nobody knows what is coming. But this much seems certain: A person born a hundred years after my grandmother will see dramatically more change than my grandmother did.
We still use Autopark frequently in parking lots.
Here's a case where that was a problem!
Part 1: Driving in FSD, we arrive in a small parking lot and a parking place is selected. We didn't like that space but we let it complete.
Part 3: The Autopark starts pulling out into traffic on the adjacent road. The oncoming traffic was not pleased (especially that third car!). I hit the brake to stop the Autopark, and completed the park.
