The D-backs noticed that Andy Pettite was tipping pitches in the stretch before Game 6 of the 2001 World Series...
They won 15-2.

It was awesome. But now it is kind of sad. It was the last time the country was united like this. We didn't know it at the time. I shudder to think what would have to happen to create this kind of unity again. I hope I don't live long enough to see it.

25th anniversary of that pitch. It's hard to explain to a younger generation just how important it was. In my lifetime, I've never felt the country more together. We needed that strike. That night, at that game, George W. Bush was the perfect president.
I kind of feel like this is a dispensary line. After all he is a man of the people.

Good God. This campaign has aged Lahn something fierce. Just kidding. Go vote.
👋🏻 Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors to get out and vote for @ZachLahn.

First date idea: I drink 11 beers at chili’s, she has a salad and a water and then blows into the ignition interlock device so my truck will start
Well for starters, let's replace the first letter of his last name with an R. Because that's what he is. Removing the step up in basis for a measly $100 billion USD per year is incomprehensably stupid. Hard no too on lowering the estate tax limit. Come on man.
If Democrats win the Senate and the House next Tuesday, one concrete goal should be estate tax reform that:
1) lowers the exemption from $15M to (say) $5M per person, and
2) ends "step-up basis," which lets capital gains built up over a lifetime escape income tax entirely at death.
My very rough estimate is that this could raise around $100B a year more than current law (happy to be corrected if the number is off).

Tony Womack reflects on his emotional Father's Day grand slam: “The ball went over the fence, and then I hit second base, and all the emotions kind of came to the forefront. I touched home plate and said, ‘Dad, I know what you did.’” #MLBNPresents

Raoul Zubia can keep courting outside special interests and their money.
@MichelleUgenti and I will keep making our case to Scottsdale residents.
Outside dollars vs. local voices. Pretty clear choice.
Replying to @BarrySGraham
Fascinating how Socialist Zubia gets all his support from outside Scottsdale. The leftist mayor of Phoenix. California dark money. Virginia based super pacs. Meanwhile, average Scottsdale residents just post story after story about why they support Graham/Ugenti. Pretty telling.

Arizona State, I have to give you credit.
Forcing BYU fans to root against Joseph Smith is some 4D chess.
Fucking morons in Tempe.
Just read an article from @azcentral about the landfill in Tempe in which that the Coyotes proposed to build an arena and entertainment district. It said 3 years later and nothing has been built and no serious proposals have been discussed. The land still sits empty. Shocker! 🤣

Ha! Apparently I had a basketball card. Plenty of better players to choose from, but maybe the mustache tipped the scales.
