But it gives you options of different stores to buy from, and some of those stores, like Steam has great policies that honor purchases even if a game is removed. GOG allows you to get DRM-free games that can be put on disc even. Consoles only limit players to their own storefront and their polices are predatory and insist that you don’t own any of the games you buy, and they can be taken at any time without compensation.
