The answers to this Reddit thread are great. Jaffa Cakes confirmed as main culprits 🤣 "Right, what's your absolute kryptonite snack, the one you demolish like a feral badger in a wheelie bin until there's nothing left but deep, soul-crushing regret?" reddit.com/r/AskUK/s/dMuk6CF…

Inpost are not a reliable company to use. Their customer service centre is in Spain (another non UK company avoiding taxes) & not managed, and this poor lady is having to take them to claims court while ill with breast cancer.

PETITION STARTED BY LEAH’S PARENTS - please sign and share 🙏 Our daughter Leah Croucher went missing on 15 February 2019, walking to work. Her body was found three and a half years later, in the loft of a house half a mile from our family home. The man who killed her, Neil Maxwell, was a convicted sex offender with a history of serious offending going back to 1998. Months before Leah disappeared, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman and was sentenced to a Community Order, not prison. The Probation Service wrongly classified him as medium risk instead of high risk. He then missed a number of Probation appointments, and a police officer raised concerns about his lack of communication just weeks before Leah went missing. He evaded arrest for six months. During that time, he murdered Leah and took his own life. The Coroner ruled that Leah was unlawfully killed, and that failures by the Police and Probation Service in monitoring Maxwell "may have played a part" in her death. That's why we, Leah's parents, are calling for Leah's Law: a mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone convicted of a third sexual offence.  Mandatory minimums already exist for domestic burglary and Class A drug trafficking. There's no justifiable reason sexual offending should be treated more leniently. By a third conviction, it is self-evident that the offender has not been sufficiently deterred from further offending. Where a case falls below that threshold, we are calling for a District Judge to oversee sentencing in all repeat sexual offence cases, so a decision like the one that let Maxwell walk free can never be made again. This would have ensured he had no opportunity to kill Leah, and that the risk he presented on his release would have been vastly reduced. Sign for Leah, and for every family this could still protect. change.org/p/leah-s-law-mand…

Today, 26 October, is the feast day of St Cedd, or Essex Day. St Cedd is the patron saint of the county of Essex. Born in Northumbria and raised on the island of Lindisfarne, St Cedd arrived in Essex in 654 to convert the Essex people to Christianity. Innit bro. #Essex

Julian Lennon, John Lennon’s son, shared a tweet after running into his dad's Beatles bandmate, Sir Paul McCartney, in an airport lounge. In a cool twist, Paul was actually listening to a song from Julian’s new album “Jude” on his phone at that very moment. As many people know, the Beatles’ famous song “Hey Jude” was originally written as “Hey Jules” by Paul back in 1968. It was inspired by Julian, who was only 5 years old at the time, after his father John split from his mom, Cynthia, for Yoko. That’s why Julian named his new album “Jude.” Now, Paul is 84, and Julian is 63!

We went to see ballet today and the girl next to us brought a 24-piece ferrero rocher box and unwrapped each piece before the performance started and ate all of them before the first interval. She made absolutely no noise. Pure class. I hope you had a wonderful time, diva.

The amount of people I drive behind who are so scared of oncoming traffic, they hit the brakes and sit stationary while the traffic passes (why? It doesn't slim your car down!?) are ill equipped to drive on the ground, let alone in the air. Every. Damn. Day.
The last thing you idiots need is a fucking flying car.
