At the risk of getting crushed (again) this week, I’ll hesitantly point out that death penalties in the Bible were performed publicly before “all the assembly” (Leviticus 24:14)
This was because there was not just 1 purpose (justice) for capital punishment; there were 2 purposes…
1) Justice, AND…
2) Public deterrence, so the rest of the people “shall hear and fear, and never again do any such evil” (Deut 13:11)

Great, I thought we'd be in week 12 before we'd be at the point of nearly winning a game. We beat ourselves yesterday, the vikings did not beat us. I'm excited for the next game, season, and what's happening. Anyone who isn't, isn't a fan of the game, and is probably not a fun person to be around in general.

Just finished Dolphins vs Chiefs film…
- We often say in sports, “there’s no moral victories” but yesterday was great for the Dolphins
- Chiefs look like the most complete team in the NFL through 3 weeks and Fins gave them everything they could handle all 4 quarters.
- After last week’s game vs 49ers with miscommunication, blown coverage, stagnant offense. The fins responded and executed at a level that you can build from!
- I really like Malik Willis. He’s improving weekly, competes his ass off, fast as hell, big arm and plays without fear
- Has a lot of room for growth as an all around QB but the talent is there and this year of reps will give the front office great insight
- Losing Achane for the season is terrible, one of the best players in the league, regardless of position
- Chris Bell 👀
Great to see him get out and space where you can see the unique combo of size and speed
- Ollie Gordon played really well, and will be great to follow him moving forward
- was impressed by the OLine as a whole. Still room for improvement but they were consistently good yesterday
- I know the Fins only put up 10 points but we moved the ball really efficiently against Spags and the Chiefs defense

What they mean by "better human" isn't actually being a better human though.
What they really mean is be a liberal.
Sorry, liberals are not better humans, in fact, they are some of the worst human beings.

pray for your pastor
Very interesting phenomenon: Almost every pastor I know (from all parts of the country) are experiencing 2 things at the same time right now…
1) More salvation, more baptism, greater attendance than ever before.
2) More attack, more opposition, more viciousness (both online and in-person) than ever before.
All kinds of pastors from all different denominational backgrounds, all different church sizes, and all different regions.
Pray for your pastor.

I don’t know if this is true. A brilliant friend with a lot of knowledge of the field claims it’s not. I would love for it to be true.
But I can tell you definitely: the Bible really happened. And Jesus really died for you.

Andrew Jones told Daily Mail the radar scans provide a 'compelling new line of evidence' but have 'not definitively identified the formation as the biblical vessel' and are 'not definitive proof.' Further testing is underway. Geologists say the site is a natural formation.

The mood at CNN is “like a funeral,” according to a source, as Paramount Skydance prepares to acquire the company in October.
Staffers are concerned about the company’s business plans being changed — yet again. “What an enormous loss and disruption it would be to shuffle leadership for the umpteenth time in the midst — finally — of reshaping the business,” says one CNN staffer.

With the lack of talent on the Dolphins' defense, any drive not ending in a touchdown is a huge victory this season. Thought the offense would be a little better. But none of this should surprise anyone. We all need the intestinal fortitude to deal with it for 15 more games.
