🇰🇵🇯🇵North Korea launched salvo of ballistic missiles towards sea of Japan.
North Korea fired roughly 10-12 short range ballistic missiles from Wonsan area along its East coast. The missiles flew roughly 250km into sea of Japan but landed outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone. South Korea also detected the launches and was forces to increase surveillance including coordinating with US and Japan.
That's the report
This indicates North Korea is demonstrating show of force rather than imminent attack on Japan or South Korea.
The test also indicates Pyongyang is rapidly expanding and modernizing its short range ballistic capabilities to maintain pressure on US,Japan and South Korea without risking major escalation.
