Highlights this week, with no launch event:
a Hive themed shape stacker with blockchain based game modifiers that lets you play until you hit a high score and THEN log it to the chain; a fantasy wrestling game launches territory promotions and lets you hire out your talent (rent out NFTs) for profit; a cozy town styled chain explorer turns content, games, and your wallet into a Halloween carnival as an interactive visual explorer; a new mobile exchange app with asset cards and a one-tap naira/dollar balance switch.

ALT Blocks are stacking on a grid after dropping from the top of the screen in a Hive blockchain theme, with a "Hardfork" level change visible, as well as modifiers and earned points. Can be played logged in, logged out, or in single player and versus mode.
ALT A rental screen for Wrestling Organization Online, where a card with a wrestler and it's stats are visible on a vibrant arena background. It shows an interface where you can buff the card, or choose to rent it to another player to use in their own games for profit.
ALT A cozy town game main view, which shows a haunted village square made up of houses that represent Hive games, different ways of viewing new content and making friends, and live player guest and logged in Hive account characters wandering around the cobblestones.
ALT A multi-wallet crypto interface that has been revamped for clarity and for one click transactions in Naira, that also features HIVE and HBD services.

Got an agent that should act when something happens that isn't just a complicated contract? Hive carries custom json and text data: you can watch public rules and conditions, verify info, or publish your own for anyone to use
Voluntary public availability, trusted history and audit trails, and irreversible immutability in less than a second without KYC or fees

🔥 LATEST: AI agents need safeguards to manage tokenized assets securely.
@KenomicAI is building infrastructure that lets users set rules for agents, with noncustodial smart contracts executing transactions.
“Blockchain helps us provide those rails and the rules embedded in the technology itself,” according to CEO @raycotarrida.

9 releases this year alone and all of them deployed seamlessly without interrupting the builders who make cool stuff with our tech (without us showing it all off well, honestly)
it's not building that's underrated, it's making sure we're loving on the ones doing the building

ALT Cyberspace77 decentralized social media site experiments with a new cyberpunk inspired look, mobile first layouts, detailed content payout breakdowns, and new features based on feedback. Trending feed shows current blogs with a hover showing rewards and beneficiaries.
ALT 3speak tv media player website view shows a video going over the topic of new features on the website: a creator shows off the new video shorts editor, custom ads overlays and opt-ins, chapter markers, and how to get started earning from watching and creating content on the decentralized video site that connects to the Hive ecosystem and carries all your data, history, and relationships to every other app.
ALT A view on PeakD.com of a technical blog post about HafSQL, which is a publicly accessible SQL database for Hive blockchain data anyone can query freely. It goes over how to call data and endpoints and what has changed.

Monolithic tech is one reason we have a world fraught with controlling interests and counterparty risk.

Platforms change hands, terms get rewritten. Sometimes new rules apply to posts you already made; sometimes the whole project ends up in liquidation.
This kind of thing is normal for businesses and companies... but it doesn't have to (and shouldn't) be normal for the parts of a protocol that belong to you:
accounts, history, content, friends, funds, access.
Hive exists because normal doesn't always mean acceptable. We came together during a time of real uncertainty and chose to build technology that puts control of your value back in your own hands.
Your Hive account isn't something that can be sold away from you or written over. No company gets to rebrand the graph or put it up for sale. Frontends can compete for attention all they want, but none of them own the social layer.
you can't be owned ♦️

social media & centralized blockchains have secret clauses that let them change the rules as needed to stay in control
on Hive, the rules ARE the protocol
witnesses are elected in public
rule changes only happen when run by a supermajority and backed by voters
we're what it looks like when there's no CEO to wake up on a whim and rig the game

Hive has more than half a decade of history as an OG fast, no fee chain:
huge flex verifiably proving our builders and community members have used it to create value for longer than the existence of 99% of all chains and coins
ever
@Goldmatters_ has receipts:
even bigger flex🤯
Today for the first time ever I have at long last achieved my goal of owning every regular and gold foil maxed alpha legendary with the original skins.
It took over 8 years of waking up every day and deciding not to leave @splinterlands to accomplish this.
Please do me a favor and help stop perpetrating the OG unfair advantage myth.
It was very hard to buy every one of these cards over 8+ years.
Most of this collection was purchased from players exiting the game.
Please appreciate and value every player who chooses to stay and support the game after years and years.
Im thrilled to be a part of this game and continue to find new goals to chase!

becoming more and more apparent, you need decentralized stablecoins which
live transparently on chain & don't need proof of reserve audits
move without fees
can't be frozen by anyone
have secure savings earning non-custodial yield
convert to/from $HIVE for a small supply burn
DYK: Stablecoins that live on chain instead of in a bank have been a Hive non-negotiable since launch
$HBD moves with no fees, sits in savings you control to build APR, gets earned in everyday games and social apps, and can convert in and out of hive:native . Build resilience alongside your centralized bets just by using the decentralized web ♦️

Hive was built for immutable, accessible social signals along with money and value.
There's no application form. Public nodes and public APIs answer anyone who asks.
Info and conversations voluntarily made public should stay reachable by everyone. We build on the belief that you shouldn't be locked to one platform, or have your ability to speak bounded by a centralized ruleset .
Post freely. Own it fully. Keep it on-chain. Prove authorship with transaction dates and hashes. Build history around the identity you choose that can't be blocked by a tech wall.
If you have an /r and want a companion community your agents, friends, and followers can actually read,
it's a good time to Hive ♦️
