The first group of Kenyan workers arrived safely in Russia and were warmly received by Kenya’s Ambassador to Russia, Amb. Dr. Peter Mathuki.
A proud moment as they begin a new chapter to build their future, make their dreams come true, and uplift their families.

Consistency is key. Just like every Sunday, the pictures in this thread show how we live in a city with no order, no laws, and no enforcement.
We have no bins, no central garbage collection points, no cleaning, and no regular waste collection. Pedestrian walkways have become stages for Ubers and boda bodas. The gutters are full of rubbish. Large stormwater drains are left wide open. Roads are broken with potholes. Open sewers run through the city. What is hilarious, between the highway at Chiromo, we even have a car wash operating using water from the gutters.
There is no law and order on our roads. Hawkers choke every corner. Street lights don’t work. Public toilets don’t exist. Unplanned high-rises keep mushrooming, built without regard to safety standards, building laws, or basic infrastructure like proper drainage and sweeper systems.
We can blame citizens and related agencies, but the truth is this: the buck stops with the county government. They are the ones collecting revenue, issuing licences, and giving approvals. Yet what we get is populist leadership, theatrics, and PR while the city continues to rot.
There is too much to talk about, but as I always say. It is what it is.
We must fix Nairobi.
